If you are shooting on the same net in the 1st and 3rd period.... you are defending the opposite net at the other end of the rink, in the 1st and 3rd period. So you are defending that same net just once ... in the 2nd period. So the Sabres feel those seats are in higher demand, therefore the price increase.

With all due respect. You may think you know that. But in reality you or anyone don’t know if Cozens will be better. Until he comes in the NHL, develops, and proves he is actually better than prime Larkin. And believe me I HOPE he becomes better than Larkin. That would be awesome! And your comment about posters being treated differently. I couldn’t agree more. Everyone sees it. I wish it wasn’t the case. ?

I think Detroit would want to build around a player like that. Not send him packing for draft picks and prospects.

You know… There is a world that exists where it’s most likely a little bit of both. Jeff absolutely needs to step up and start finding a way to produce. He’s not getting paid for his defensive ability. He’s not getting paid to run people into the boards. He’s getting paid for points. He has to work himself out of this slump. Perhaps a slump buster or two ?. Also, JB and RK need to get him a high quality setup man. If it’s not going to be Eichel, then it needs to be somebody who is pretty close to Eichel’s ability to set him up so he can feast on chaos and well placed passes. The current roster lacks that.

Both of them may not have developed the way they have in Colorado… They may be another version of McCabe and Sheary if they stayed in Buffalo.

Well, if you haven’t already, just read thru this thread. Many of us have already expressed our concerns. Ignore the dramatic over the top posts (you’ll see some) and focus on the reasonable even tempered comments, criticisms, and compliments most fans have expressed.

Comparing him to what he was 4 years ago ... it’s reasonable to be ... Meh. However, if he signs a two or three year/2.5 mil. per ... I’d jump on that. But that’s about the max I’d go. No matter how many checks and amount of grit he has.

Huh? Hutton has been noticeably (to not all apparently) better most games since Ullmark went down.

So is the blinded by hate myth that Reinhart avoids contact too. Avoids getting smoked? Sure. Every player does that to a more or less degree. not being a Pat Kaleta, doesn’t mean a player avoids contact… In a contact sport.

Yea it was mentioned on Monday. He liked the fact that he’ll be “closer to home”. Probably the main reason.

Unless a hockey miracle happens, I don’t see Cozens in any shape way or form being an effective 2C next season. I just don’t. He’ll be a developing young player who doesn’t look good some games, Looks good in others, and plays a 3rd line wing with a few games among the top six to see what he looks like. And that’s being very very optimistic. In 21-22 or 22-23, yea hopefully if all his stars align just right.... Cozens will be an effective 2C. But there is no way I’m expecting it next season. JB needs to get a seasoned effective 2C. For at the least, two full seasons while Cozens develops in the NHL.

To me, he looks like a inconsistent developing young player. Nothing too alarming IMO. If he’s making the same frequency of mistakes next season AND the following season, then I’ll start to have a little concern. My prediction is next season he’ll still make those mistakes, just less of them. And that’s due to developing and experience. At 21 ... there’s almost no chance he doesn’t develop and improve. Who the heck honestly thinks a 21 year old player won’t.

Meh. Liked Vanek for about 5 years, then started to slowly want him off the team. By the time he was moved I was rather pleased.
