  1. Exactly. It’s just a necessary step. All three could just as well sign with the Sabres 15 mins before the actual arbitration date.
  2. What exactly is “just under” 4 mil? 3.99, 3.9, 3.85, 3.8 ... what?
  3. Finished Hannibal ... that’s a hell of a show ... wow. I’m almost done with the Netflix show ... DARK. Wow that’s a confusing show. But damn good.
  4. For some ... fanatic = dramatic 😂 I think day 2 and 3 will see some bigger names drop.
  5. I’ll add the players when it’s 100% clear they accepted them and will be in the organization. 👍🏼
  6. They received qualifying offers. They didn’t accept the offers... yet. Or am I wrong? They have until the 18th to Accept or reject them. Right?
  7. Tell me who to add ... and I will 👍🏼 Unless you mean ... in the coming days ... in that case ... I plan on it. 😬
  8. Well, if there’s one thing I definitely don’t want… Is for them to massively overpay for a UFA goalie. Or frankly for any goalie for that matter…. That’s one position that I’m highly allergic to overpaying for goalie services. I don’t care what the name on the back of the sweater is.
  9. A goalie upgrade, and solid productive 2C, and nothing else ... will do wonders for this team. It may even get them into the playoffs. Sprinkle in other talent where needed and this team can go deep into the playoffs. If goaltending is upgraded and IF Staal can be that productive 2C, the Sabres are in a very good place. IF Staal isn’t that productive 2C (and I have my doubts he will be), then the team will be around the same as last season. Give or take 10 points.
  10. Updated the OP 👍🏼
  11. I give KA a B- for the 2020 draft. Could have been worse, could have been better.
  12. Not everyone’s definition of “big move” is the same ...
  13. Meh. It’s a little higher than what I was hoping for. What’s done is done. Moving on ...
  14. Found this ... Free agency opens Oct. 9 at 12 p.m. ET, at which point RFAs become eligible to sign their qualifying offer — or offer sheets. Qualifying offers expire on Oct. 18.
  15. I’m sorry if this has been asked and answered already… How long do the qualifying offer players have to except or reject the offer?
  16. I’m gonna leave reactions to the individual threads about those moves. I just wanted to document the actual trade, draft, signing, hiring, etc. When the Kahun issue actually gets finalized (signed/not signed), I’ll add it. Right now Kahun seems in limbo as to what the Sabres/Kahun will ultimately do. Hopefully he signs with the Sabres. If those QO’s get signed by anyone, I’ll add those.
  17. Yep. It’s nice to be among the ones who are calm and take a wait and see approach.
  18. Harrington with his pompous tone. He’s god awful. Always will be.
  19. That much huh? I guess I’m greatly undervaluing him. I was thinking no more than 2 yr. / 2 mil. per.
  20. Updated OP. If I missed something, let me know.
  21. Meh. Life’s too short to stress, fret, or hand wring over drafting kids to play a sport and become millionaires. So I hope Quinn turns out to be a top 6 NHLer in a few years. And if he doesn’t ... oh well. No worries here. Keep on developing kid! Rinse repeat for every pick every year. That mindset isn’t for everybody. I get it.
  22. Yea, a 58 - 64 game season makes the most sense. I like the idea of just playing every team twice. Back to back. Play two games in two nights. Then the team gets a day or two off, then another back to back with the next team.
