It’s a waste of time to attempt dialogue or debate. Sam has been getting better and better every year. As much as he benefits from playing with Eichel, Eichel or anyone he plays with benefits just as much. This is a very good contract for the Sabres. “Fair” would have been 6 mil. He left money on the table. No doubt.

I had spectrum. Had the cable boxes. Price got too high. Switched to FuboTV thru Roku device. Three months later spectrum slashed their rates and wanted me back. Now I’m back to streaming spectrum thru Roku device. Comparing spectrum rate over three months ago to today .... I’m saving $60 a month. So it was worth leaving spectrum for three months.

Theres too many unknowns ... IF Hall has a good year with little to no injuries. IF Hall even wants to sign a multi year deal with the Sabres. IF what Hall would request as a salary is in the ballpark of reality or what the Sabres are willing to pay him. And then repeat the same IF’s for Reinhart. Too many unknowns....

Maybe he did look elsewhere… Maybe the agent did call around… Maybe there was really no significant interest in his services… So he circled back around to the Sabres.

I was piggybacking off of the “I have my doubts” part. I didn’t assume you thought Kane would definitely want to come here or can come here.

IF And it’s a big IF Kane even entertained the idea of coming to Buffalo to finish his career... if Chicago retained 30 - 35% of his salary, AND The biggest piece (among other pieces) going back was a first round draft pick in 2021, along with Mitts, then I would consider it. Just… Consider it. Kane is not the same player he was 3, 4, 5 years ago… And that has to be strongly considered. And excepted. No nostalgia of yesteryear of what once was.

And just because he was squirted out in Buffalo, doesn’t necessarily mean that Kane wants to come back home and play for the Buffalo Sabres. It’s assuming an awful lot that Kane definitely without a doubt without question wants to play here. I’m not saying he doesn’t… But I think it’s dumb to assume he definitely does just because he has family and friends here.

Lehner is in no way shape or form an elite goaltender and he wasn’t playing elite goaltending. This past year he was playing very good. In front of a very good team. And player for player… Vegas had a way more solid team this season than the Sabres did when Lehner was on the Sabres. Even if you include ROR. If the Sabres had the “2020 level Lehner” back in 2017-2018 and ROR, This team may have barely squeaked into the playoffs… Maybe.

Very interesting where Toronto ended up on that chart. That seems odd to me. Don’t get me wrong, I like it… It just seems… Off.

And every professional athlete that I’ve heard comment about the whole pull up thing has said no pull ups, or one pull up, or 50 pull ups makes absolutely no difference in how he’s going to perform in the least, for a professional hockey team.

Don’t act like ALL teams didn’t have Reinhart as the #1 forward to pick in 2014. Spoiler alert... they did. Don’t act like Zadorov is a better all around D man than Risto. Spoiler alert ... he’s not. Pysyk has made a nice career for himself. No issue with that pick. Most, teams and draft boards had Mitts right where we drafted him. It was absolutely not an off the wall crazy pick by any means. Yes, the Sabres rushed him. And his development has suffered. But that has absolutely nothing to do with the spot he was drafted at.

If the Sabres don’t upgrade this season in goal ... they are .... Dunn. And if the Sabres are dunn, then I think Eichel, Hall, and a few others are dunn being a Sabre.
