I think you misunderstood me.... I’ll say it like this ... He has plenty of time to develop in the coming few years. I’m not worried at all at this point that he won’t become an NHLer down the road. And hopefully a good one! I also think RIGHT NOW today, no organization would consider him a “high end talent”. Mainly due to his on ice struggles since being drafted. I think most organizations would consider him a young man “full of potential, but hasn’t put it together yet”. I hope that reads better as “settled down” 😂

If Mitts is currently considered around the league as “high end talent” for a teams prospects pool ... the prospect pool must really really really suck ... bad. If he has a very good first few months in the AHL, then yea, I can see him being in the consideration of developing into a “high end talent” for a teams prospect pool.

I’d rather keep Joker. He can grow and improve together with Dahlin, Cozens and other younger players.

He’s a massive jerk for doing that a few years ago, obviously. And he’s paying for it now. Good. Is there, at some point, ever, while he can play a game competitively, try to make a career out of it? Or is he banned for the rest of his “younger years” from pursuing his passion as far as his talent can take him, to make a living playing a game?

Some people are dazzled with dipsy doodles and sick deeks. And base their opinion of a players worth on how much they can do those things. Those same people think that Afinogenov was a hell of a lot better than he was, for many more years than he was.

A better question is ... can Jack hit 85+ points without Reinhart? The knee jerk answer isn’t necessarily the accurate one.... There’s something to be said for chemistry of a line.

I’m just of the belief that even if you had an upgrade in goaltending last year, The team in front of them were so bad that their numbers would be close to what Ullmark had. I’m not saying Ullmark doesn’t need to improve.... but if you put Osgood in front of last year‘s team he’d have similar numbers… If you put Fleury in front of last year‘s team he’d have similar numbers. If you put Rask in front of last year‘s team he’d have similar numbers. The team as a whole was abysmal. Including goaltending, not in spite of it, and not the only position that needs improvement.

Agreed… That’s definitely not developing more… That’s just getting more opportunity and cashing in on it.

He’s far far removed from being a rookie. VO is a developed finished product.

I guess it’s a matter of opinion. I think he passes or more specifically sees the ice (for passes) better than either of them. Eichel is very close. Dahlin is nipping at Eichel’s heels. No skin off my nose if no one agrees. 🤷‍♂️

Does anyone have a link to the first 6 months of JB’s tenure? That would be an interesting read. To contrast and compare what fans were saying the first 6 months of JB to what fans are saying of KA to this point.
