I’m glad the Sabres keep putting out jerseys I’m not remotely interested in purchasing. Saves me a bunch of money every time they do it 😂 Then again, I’ve never been the type of fan that has to drop a couple hundred on a Jersey to show others my level of fandom. Season tickets and a Sabres hat purchase every 3-4 years and call it a day 😂

Since Chicago views Kane, like Buffalo views Eichel or Dahlin ... Kane leaving Chicago won’t happen unless it’s an overpayment and if he even wants to waive his NMC. Every 8-10 months for the past 10+ years this whole Kane to Buffalo topic in different forms rears it’s ugly and unlikely head. Then phases out after 2-3 weeks. Then like clockwork ... another thread pops up eventually. Yawn.

What do you mean by… “He has had his fill“? Because to me that sounds like he doesn’t care if he wins a cup and that he just potentially wants play in Buffalo… And if that’s what you’re implying… I completely disagree. I think a player wants to win cups, as many as possible for as long as possible. Granted, some players like where they live and a cup isn’t as important, as location. But I don’t think Kane is built that way. He can come back to Buffalo at the youngish age of 39-40 years old after retirement and live like a king for many decades. I think some fans put too much stock in players birth towns.

If Kane continued to be smart, he’d continue to stay away from Buffalo. He’d be better off in Vegas, Tampa, Colorado, or Dallas.

Hall on a one year. Don’t assume he will or will not sign a multi year with the Sabres next off season. Staal most likely one year. Then gone. Reinhart i can see going either way next off season, regardless of playoffs. IF IF IF Hall doesn’t sign next off season, Staal moves on or retires, Reinhart decides to look elsewhere ... what do you think Eichel’s mindset will be even IF the Sabres make the playoffs? Especially if the Person who “runs” the state doesn’t allow one or very very limited number of fans the building? I can easily see Eichel deciding to move on too. Yes, this coming season is important, they must make the playoffs, but keeping the team stocked and stacked in the off season so Eichel wants to stay is equally important.

In the playoffs ... I won’t need Sam to “turn it up”. I just want him to be the consistent straw that stirs the drink. Stay healthy, and contribute. As far as “game winning goals”, meh, as long as he’s assisting on goals or putting them in himself, I couldn’t care less if they ended up being game winning goals. At least no more or less than caring about Eichel, Hall, Skinner, Olofsson, Staal or any other player on the roster doing the same.

Because like um ... he’s not elite, or like um he doesn’t skate like super fast, or like um he doesn’t have sick dekes, or like um he doesn’t lay big heavy body checks, or like um he kicks puppies in the off season.

Chad, like a ton of sports writers, have bias and major blind spots when it comes to ranking players. Their opinion boils down to being no better than the average fan who didn’t pursue “writing” as a profession. Then there’s the even lower bottom of the barrel writers who have a journalism degree, and their ego gets in the way with everything that they do and write ... like Harrington as an example.
