Simply put,, I expect the team as a whole to have an uptick in goals scored. A downtick in goals against. I expect the goalies to “look better” but only because the team in front of them is better, not because they magically became better. I still feel that is the Sabres weakest position. Once the roster is pretty solidified after camp, or by the time any preseason games are played, maybe doing a points prediction thread is in order.

Below average like the vast majority of other teams. Which isn’t really below average when comparing them. I think during that time frame only 4 or 5 teams drafted “well” in the 7th. But as you know, the 7th is such a crap shoot with the results shown here.

Who’s had NHL time? So i took a 10 year sample. From 2007 - 2016. In my opinion it’s too soon to judge anyone drafted in the 7th round in 2017 or more recently to determine if a team drafted well in the 7th. If you disagree, then post the more recent years if you want. I added the Buffalo picks (if there are any) just to see the names. Well, especially if KA does it by committee. He doesn’t have that big ego and thinks he’s the smartest and most informed person in the room. I know some expect higher from Dahlin. But me personally, I would be happy if Dahlins ceiling was Hedman. If he never got any better than Hedman, I’d be very happy with Dahlins development. Anything north of that I’d be estatic. If Quinn tops out in a few years and averages as a 45-55 point NHL forward, I’ll be very happy about that too. As long as his 200 ft. game is solid too.
