Fantasy … Eichel will be stripped of his captaincy and still remain a Buffalo Sabre. Reality … Eichel will be traded before his NMC kicks in. Or, Eichel will remain a Sabre and be the captain for the foreseeable future. In No way shape or form is Eichel being stripped of the captaincy and remain a Sabre.

Meh … what is opined by a reporter… vs. what’s actually done… Could very well be two different things. And if you want to believe that Terry still holds all the cards and has all the power over who gets drafted… Then I guess this falls into you believing anything that a reporter will tell you. And for all we know KA may completely agree with what Terry’s preference is. So in the end it’s not Terry’s decision at all… But KA is the one who will be drafting Power. But… There’s also something to be said of history… And if history is any indication as to Terry having complete control and complete veto power over who gets drafted… Then I guess Terry’s preference gets picked. Even if KA completely disagrees. Frankly I don’t give a crap who gets drafted… I just want the team and prospect pool to be better overall. I definitely don’t want Terry to be a part of it. And just because Terry has given his opinion to a reporter, doesn’t mean that KA is going to go against what he wants for the team. Speculation speculation… whatever …

Not surprised a thread like this popped up. Just surprised it popped up 24 hours after he was hired. I don’t have a fast hair trigger like some fans do… IF it’s determined that KA stocked the team with better goaltending, and equal to or better than “talent” as last season … I’ll give DG around 6 full months of games to have an educated non-knee jerk reaction to “ Don is a good or bad coach”. IF it’s determined that KA did not stock the team well… Then I would give DG longer to make that determination. Hell, this upcoming season… Could be extremely rough for DG. Especially if Eichel is moved and Reinhart is moved, and that point production isn’t replaced in the short term. Then I believe DG would be unfairly criticized for every loss. KA needs to give DG the tools to succeed. i’ll give DG quite a bit of slack if those tools are not there because KA couldn’t get it done as the GM. I think this thread is better served In late September when the roster is pretty much filled out. And we know what DG has to work with.

If a goaltending improvement is not addressed, Granato will fail. That MUST be priority #1. The other pieces are important for sure. But solidify the goaltending KA. Don’t screw over Meatballs. If KA doesn’t improve that position, I’d like to see him gone before the end of next season. Yes, I would give KA a few months to try to improve goaltending. I’m not as hair-trigger to fire the guy like some of you.

Well … if others feel that three is a dynasty, good for them. They only have one as of right now. So again repeating myself… I am far far far away from thinking dynasty. And even if they win the cup this year… Me personally… I am far far away from thinking they are dynasty. if they win the cup this year, and they actually keep the band together for the most part and win the cup again next year.… OK I could see the argument being made that one can consider them a dynasty. But from my view… That is far far away where I stand today. You’re not going to change my mind and I’m not going to change yours. So I am not going to “get used to it” until IT actually happens 👍🏼
