I think that description is a little off. At 24 I wouldn’t call him “young” anymore. In hockey years. “beat someone’s ass” makes it sound like he’s a proven “tough guy”. I think a better way to say it is … on occasion he’s not against dropping the gloves with someone near his weight class. I don’t think he would drop the gloves every game, (not that it’s needed) or drop the gloves with the Reaves, or Wilson’s of the league. I’d like to see Borgen back in the mix, but anything richer than a 5th, is too much IMO.

Someone needs to ask a very well versed lawyer on what the Sabres can and can not do. If Eichel disregards his contractual obligation he signed. My ignorant guess, is the Sabres can legally fully void his (remaining) contract the day after a player has a surgery without the teams full consent/agreement. They don’t need to “wait and see if the surgery was successful” in order to void the contract.

Hey, unlike someone else who may have had an agenda, I wanted to just have a running record in one place to refer back to from time to time to see all the good and bad moves he’s made. Many seem to enjoy looking at the running list. I know I do. It has NOTHING to do with him being inexperienced. I would have started the exact same thread no matter who the GM is.
