  1. Second verse. Same as the first.
  2. The false narrative that KA didn’t even try to upgrade the goalie situation this past summer is funny. It take two (sometimes three) GM’s to agree to a deal. Fact is, he didn’t upgrade that position. But not for a lack of trying. Full stop.
  3. Good game. Loss of Clifton and Comrie was too much. I’m over the loss. NEXT!!!
  4. Well well well. yikes Hopefully just a stinger
  5. Toy buying business? *************************** NEWARK, N.J. – The Buffalo Sabres will aim for a second straight win on the road when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Friday at Prudential Center. The Sabres are coming off a 6-4 victory in Ottawa on Tuesday. Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson each scored a pair of goals in that game. Coverage on MSG begins at 6:30 p.m. The puck drops at 7 on MSG/MSG+ and WGR 550. Here are five things to know. 1. The lineup The Sabres held an optional morning skate and did not run line rushes. Eric Comrie will start in goal with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen backing up. Devon Levi remains day to day with a lower-body injury. 2. Streaking Rasmus Dahlin and Dylan Cozens both have chances to reach career-best point streaks on Friday. Dahlin enters the night on a six-game point streak, with seven assists in that span. Cozens has two goals and four assists during his current five-game streak. Jeff Skinner, meanwhile, has at least one goal in each of the past three games – including a two-goal performance in Ottawa on Tuesday. 3. Mittelstadt Mode Casey Mittelstadt tallied a pair of assists against the Senators, upping his point total to six through seven contests. He leads all Sabres players in assists (17) and points (23) dating back to March 25 of last season, a span of 18 games. 4. The special teams battle The game presents a clash between two of the NHL’s top special teams units to begin the season. The Devils boast the league’s top power play at 42.3 percent (11-for-26) while the Sabres rank sixth on the penalty kill at 88.9 percent (24-for-27). 5. Scouting the Devils New Jersey’s success on the power play has coincided with the hottest individual start for a player in the NHL. That distinction belongs to forward Jack Hughes, who leads the league with 13 assists and 17 points in just six games. Hughes has tallied at least a point in each of the Devils’ games this season. “There’s a case you could say he’s the best player in the world right now, the way he’s playing,” Granato said. “So, fun to watch, less fun to play against, and that will be a challenge for us tonight.”
  6. You’re not mad at losing… Unless you are at my approved level of being mad at losing! And express it in my approved way of expressing that you are mad at the losing! oh that’s rich 😂
  7. Thanks. I was also wondering about the parameters of allowing an NHL player to bet, if at all. Taro explained a good portion of my questions. Interesting times…
  8. Anybody willing to take a stab at this?
  9. Let’s get a streak going! Sabres … 4 Devils … 3 Skinner, TNT, or Power with a goal
  10. Correct. And if this is gonna be “a thing” where we need to be constantly aware of what place the Sabres are in allllll season long, Then mention it every day or at least every game day.
  11. What two numbers did Jim Schoenfeld wear? On October 23, 1981, what forward had the first, three goal game of his NHL career in the Sabres 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs? On October 25, 1991, the Sabres traded Pierre Turgeon, Benoit Hogue, Uwe Krupp and Dave McLlwain to the Islanders for Randy Hillier, a fourth round draft pick and what two forwards?
  12. Yep. I think that’s conveniently overlooked by some who want Tuch to be the root of why everything devolved into the ugliness it did. I’m not surprised Tkachuk wasn’t fined or suspended. But I am disappointed. NHL…. You disappoint me! 😂
  13. So …. Correct what I have right and what I have wrong. This may help others who are confused as well. As an NHL player you cannot bet on the sport of hockey. Any league at any level for anything, betting on the sport of hockey is off-limits. Pinto was betting on other sports. And he cannot bet on other sports while being employed by the NHL. Pinto was a betting on other sports except hockey, online. But the gambling site is shady and not “approved“ by the NHL and therefore he is in violation. As someone who is completely ignorant about online gambling and how to gamble on sports… Break it down please.
  14. Yay! … 6th place is great! Keep up the good work. Boo! … only 6th place? Unacceptable… it should be way better.
  15. First thread title …. “What do you think this forum will look like in 5 years?”
  16. I think that’s only after midnight. 🤔
  17. In my opinion… You should look on craigslist, or stub hub, there may be people right now selling those tickets… And cheap. In my opinion, The longer you wait, the longer there is potential that the tickets you get won’t be the most ideal tickets that you may want. if you can grab a seat in a good location you like, for under $50… Just do it sooner rather than later. Or, you could hope that it’s not a sell out or close to a sell out… And just get whatever seats are remaining. You just may not like the location because you waited so long. then there always is the potential option of moving into a seat that’s better… Once you are there.
  18. While I don’t think UPL is NHL starting goalie material…. I do think he’s NHL backup goalie material. He could have a long career in this league as a back up. Bouncing around from team to team on 1 or 2 year deals. Like a lot of backups do and did. Or go play over in Europe and make great money there playing a game.
  19. It’s 2028, let’s take a look back and check out the dumbest thread titles or topics in 2023 and laugh at them.
