For my money… Peters was the worst “goon/fighter” the Sabres ever had. From what I know he seems like a really nice guy, but that still doesn’t take away with how I view him in regards to the Sabres.

I read about that… That’s an incredible injury! Ouch

Oh I was aware. I just wanted say why I’m drawn to players like Reinhart, as opposed fo players like Marchand or Wilson for examples.
-
I think that’s what I’ve liked about Sammy for years … quietly consistently puts up points. Not much flash. A lot of casual hockey watchers don’t notice what he does most games. Under the radar point producers is who I’m drawn to.

Be the GM and get us to the cap floor next year

All GM’s screw up along the way. Some more than others. Skinner was definitely JB’s biggest contract blunder. -
I understand the draw to it… And it seems like it could be a cool time once or twice. But if I was watching games there often… I think I would personally and this is just me personally… I would get very tired of the over the top overproduction of it all. Again just personal preference. One thing I noticed… Is there are a handful of arenas where are the music selection is very good. Off the top of my head I would say San Jose and Montreal. But I’m sure there are others I’m not remembering. Maybe Dallas?

Since the team didn’t make the playoffs in 2017 (for instance) when ROR was on the team, couldn’t you say this about Antipin, Bailey, Baptiste, Beaulieu, Bogosian, Criscuolo, Eichel, Falk, Fashing, Fedun, Girgensons, Gorges, Griffith, Guhle, Johnson, Josefson, Kane, Larsson, Lehner, McCabe, Moulson, Nelson, Nolan, Nylander, Okposo, Pominville, Redmond, Reinhart, Ristolainen, Rodriguez, Scandella, Tennyson, Ullmark, Wilson etc …. ? And let’s not leave out the entire coaching staff and sabretooth.

Good thing it’s considered a team sport. Otherwise people would be tempted to blame one individual on wins and losses.

I think Pysyk stays another year. Haag, Miller, Butcher, and Bjork won’t.
-
Did you not see the multiple posts discussing his goal in the NHL thread? I think you did … 😂
-
What’s the over/under on how many of Eichel’s goals will be retweeted on this forum? 😂 my guess is … hmmm … as a VGK … the first 25. Over/under?

A band of bothers huh? 😂

• This is the third of three meetings between the Sabres and Blue Jackets this season. • Last meeting: Columbus defeated Buffalo 4-3 (OT) in Buffalo on Feb. 10, 2022. • The Sabres are 4-3-3 in their last 10 games against the Blue Jackets; 4-4-2 on the road. • This is the 38th game all-time between Buffalo and Columbus; Buffalo has a 14-18-5 series record. • The Sabres are 5-8-3 on the road against the Blue Jackets all-time • Five of the last eight meetings between these clubs have been decided in overtime, including four of the last five. • With three goals yesterday vs. Colorado, Tage Thompson registered his first career NHL hat trick. o Thompson's hat trick marked his fifth multi-goal game this season. • Thompson's hat trick was the second by a Sabres player this week (Jeff Skinner, Feb. 13 at MTL). It's the first time since 2011 that Buffalo had two hat tricks within a week of each other. • Thompson has 21 points (9+12) in his last 19 games played, including 14 points (7+7) in his last 11 contests. • Since Buffalo's Jan. 17 game against Detroit, Jeff Skinner, Tage Thompson and Alex Tuchare all producing more than a point per game. • Tuch (6+10) leads the way with 16 points in 13 games, Skinner has 15 points (7+8) in 13 games and Thompson, who missed two games during that stretch, has 14 points (7+7) in 11 games.
