A Sabre fan might wonder why this rebarbative team doesn’t get more attention from its owner, Terry the Terrible.

Both loyal Sabres and hardworking players on the wrong side of 30, neither of whom has won a Cup… and in the case of Girgensons, has yet to experience the playoffs… Both play a gritty 200 ft game… One or both packaged with prospects or traded separately should have value to Cup contenders… Let Pegula and KA show fans the Sabres are committed to improving the product this season… before the trade deadline and the offseason…

Give them both a chance with a contender for the Cup… They deserve it.

Wouldn’t be as adamant about trading Tuch as BuffaloSuperFan, but agree it is time for a major shakeup… including core players like Tuch… My opinion will be unpopular… LV offered Tuch up for a reason… Adams bit on his Buffalo roots… despite shoulder surgery… On IR a couple times here… and has not lived up to the hype… Glides through too many periods… Has a mediocre shot and misses the net a lot… Granato moves him off the top line in recent games… Articulate and glib, but makes excuses in postgame interviews instead of flashing anger when the team plays poorly… Not Captain material except sentimentally, imo… If KA is resetting the roster, Tuch should be available for trade while he has high value.

My theory is KA extended Granato knowing Pegula would extend his contract as well… Pure self-interest.

Power a non event… Krebs was missing as well at much lower cost… Didn’t really see much from Dahlin or Tuch until the late periods.

I often hear Granato and players say “We need to raise our compete” in postgame comments… Must be something to it.

Compete is a verb… meaning to strive against another or others to attain a goal, such as an advantage or victory… We too often lack it…

3rd period half over… Sabres down by one… 3 shots… Blues up by one… 8 shots

Sometimes… Sometimes it is simply lack of compete.

Shot pattern and faceoffs show much better period for Sabres… Granato got their attention…

Look at the shot patterns of both teams… This is coaching and compete.
