Our young core need to learn how to finish on strong nights… how to win on weak nights… and to get some playoff experience… Preferably all three starting next season with the addition of a goaltender and a forward from a winning program… It’s about expectations… Pegula, KA, Granato, the players, and the Buffalo community need to rachet up expectations… Tuch gets it…

That’s KA’s job… Did good work getting Tuch, Krebs, Levi… My bet he makes a couple off season moves to make learning how to win a next step in developing our young core…

"It was tired plays and tired mistakes. We were physically tired and mentally tired, and we couldn’t finish simple stuff. The bottom line is we have to learn how to play through that, and we didn’t adjust to not feeling your game.” Back-to-back game and travel might account for some of it… but their 1st period effort was incomprehensible… Unmotivated or unprepared or both… Granato adjusted his lines trying to get a spark in the 2nd and 3rd periods… but it was too late… He sent a team out to start the game that didn’t come to play and didn’t want or expect to win… Expectations or conditioning… Something is amiss in their process… They are learning the wrong lesson… accepting defeat under the cover of just another rebuild year…

Then Granato needs to start coaching games to win… Use his practices for development… He needs to raise his expectations of the group… Be less understanding of losses like this one…

Whoever tried the two line pass up ice with a minute left that resulted in the icing call bringing Anderson back on the ice for the face off… I’d bench the dope next game…
