From BN today: ”With Okposo out, Granato reconnected perhaps his best line combination of the season, with Tage Thompson between Skinner and Alex Tuch. Jack Quinn, who sat out Thursday, was back in the mix on a speed line with Dylan Cozens and JJ Peterka.” and: ”Granato said he's looking for a spark with in-game line changes and often keeping an eye on potential matchups when he makes shifts between games. But in this case, he's also going for simplicity after a stretch of shuffling that has seemingly left lines struggling for consistency for large stretches. "You saw Tuch back with Thompson and Skinner, and I think they're the most comfortable (trio)," Granato said. "Right now, that's how the lines are laying out, who we feel is the most comfortable with each guy in each scenario in hopes to not complicate anything." This is great news… Hope Granato keeps these lines together for more than a few games… Same with Mittelstadt, Olofsson, and Okposo or Girgenson… He can match lines and make in-game changes and still let his top lines start each game… Simplicity and Consistency can only build chemistry, reduce on-ice confusion, and increase accountability -
I get it… Long season… Four game skids happen… Youngest team in the NHL… Losing won’t last… I agree The memory of Eichel, O’Reilly, Ulmark et al getting sick of losing here is still fresh… Will just hate to see these kids experience anything similar because of a multi-year development strategy that has only a secondary goal of winning hockey games with the best players on the ice… These kids need to experience winning at the pro level…here or in Rochester… to build their confidence along with their skills… Up to Pegula, Adams, and Granato to support development with winning… Adams is too complacent for me… Same with Granato… He talks about the kids needing to learn how to win at this level… Granato and Adams need to learn how to win doing their jobs at this level as well… End of rant 🤐
-
Granato talks about the need for experience… Fact is, experience can be good and bad… You can learn to fail just like you can learn to succeed… Their play late last season in Rochester earned a shot here. Right now, none of the three are succeeding on balance at this level… Would send all three down and tell Appert to put them together as a line… Let them succeed as a trio … They won’t like it but they will succeed there… Bring them back in a couple months… Hungry to succeed and stick here permanently Adams and Granato need to rethink what we are developing
-
Four games in a row… not a Sabre among the three game stars… No Sabre worthy or a cost of losing??
-
Granato ducks a post game interview… sends out Tage and Mitts… Predictable press questions and predictable player responses… Someone should have asked “What did the Coach have to say about the game??… The team effort??”
-
Tuch, Krebs, and Olofsson were bad tonight… No offense and no defense… Unacceptable given the game stakes and filled seats…
-
Yep… It sure seems that way… Everyone from top to bottom just too comfortable with the status quo
-
Couldn’t agree more…
-
It’s early in a long season… Adams needs to do his job… Put a package together… Get a veteran RH Defender with a TakeNoCrap attitude from a winning program… who can help the team and our young defenseman
-
Granato needs to lay into his team… Speak and show his disrespect for their play lately…

Eichel is a world-class Ass Hat
-
Think Granato wanted him against the Bruins

Let’s not let the pantload get a hat trick… Won’t be hats fans toss on the ice
