Up to Adams, Granato & Staff, Okposo & Assts, and Veterans… to lead themselves, the new kids, the fans, and the City of Buffalo into the playoffs… We have the roster and pipeline to do it… and go deep. No excuses or explanations otherwise will cut it this season. This is the given reality. Go Sabres!

Just watched Appert’s post game interview after Saturday’s 4-2 win… What an impressive guy… Smart… Articulate… Knows the game… Knows his players… Loves what he does and who he does it for… His players, his coaches, and the Sabres organization… We have a great player and coaching pipeline…

Hey, LGR4GM… As I understand it, Olofsson wants to be here, and he is well liked in the locker room… Your numbers sound right… Our defense and goaltending should be better, so his two-way play and +/- will benefit. Lot of studs looking for a roster spot… He’ll need to compete hard and have a good camp. And Adams can always surprise us with a trade package… But I expect Olofsson to be here and to have a good year, moving between 3-4 lines, and the PP.

Bring in a couple gritty mature veterans with Stanley Cup Championship success.

Hey, Pimlach… Remember putting the ad inserts in the paper at your neighborhood distributor’s garage… before putting 30+ papers in each shoulder bag… crisscrossing your chest… and the bags balanced… banging on your hips… as you walked to your route… and started down the street and up each driveway… Putting the paper behind the storm door?… Then collecting every Weds night… “Can you come back on Friday?”… Taught me my first lessons in work discipline, work ethic, and people skills… Invaluable… Thanks for the memory!

Think DG gave a great season-ending statement and thoughtful, straightforward answers to the media… KA much less so, imo

Agree with Weave… Not expecting to hear much in the way of specifics about roster plans… Do expect to hear pride in the culture they have created in the organization… in the development and success of several of their draft choices and trade acquisitions… and in bringing fans back with an uptempo and entertaining product… Want to hear a commitment to winning in their presser, carrying through to training camp, and Day One of the new season… Less talk of player development by DG during the season except in praise of a player… and no more development explanations for losing.

Can’t buy respect like this… Hope Okposo will be part of the Buffalo Sabre organization in some capacity as long as he wants.
