I thought I read somewhere that he was "shocked" by the trade. I loved the trade at first, but his on ice demeanor and play made me start to rethink the deal. But, if he was totally caught off guard, I can totally understand why he seemed sluggish. After his injury, he looked like a different player. I expect him to be a great addition come next season.

I honestly thought Florida didn't have a chance tonight. A tough 7 game series that ended 2 days ago against a team that's rested and at home. I love every minute of it.

An all Canada Cup series would be horrendous. At least for us south of the border. We'll never hear the end of it "the Cup is back where it belongs". I guess NJ or Seattle for me. Slim pickens this year.

Someone asked Seth Appert how does he keep the guys engaged during these long layoffs. He said "I coached college hockey for 15 years so motivation is not a problem". A lot of these young guys that played college are used to only playing on weekends. I myself, hate the long gaps between games.

It was all in fun. She gives me crap about my teams and I give her the same back. We always laugh about it. I have 3 daughter's and she's the youngest at 20 years old. The middle one is somewhat into sports (Boston teams as well, although she does like Josh Allen) and the oldest could give two shits about sports. It's all good.

Yeah, I figured she wouldn't answer anyways. I did text my youngest daughter, who loves all Boston teams like her mom. I said, "how bout them Bruins, lol?". She texted back "you suck".
