Looks like McCabe could be out for the rest of the year. Got drilled last night (Wednesday) in Utica skating out of his own end and was caught with his head down. He was knocked out cold before he slammed face first into the ice. He was bleeding pretty bad. Spent the night in a Utica hospital. Talk about a double whammy....suffering a concussion AND having to spend the night in a Utica hospital.

I played goalie most of my life until seven years ago. Way too old to get in front of NHL slap shots.

That is a nice big arena they have down there. Went to a game there a few years back against the Sabres. I understand how hard it must be trying to become a Lightning fan when half the crowd is cheering for the Sabres. At least that's how it was when I was there. Can't wait to see the lineup tonight. And I doubt Grigorenko gets the call. They said he was horrible in his return game from injury.

I think the Sabres will be much better sooner, rather than later. Tons of young talent, hopefully one of the first two picks this year and I also think Murray will bring in the right veterans and coach to round out the team. I have faith!!! There will be no butt hurtness after the Sabres win the Cup in the next three/four years. I remain optimistic of the future for the Buffalo Sabres.

No way Murray goes into next year with these guys as his only goalies. He has said he would try to bring Noy-Virt back if he did indeed trade him. I think Niemi might be available as well.

I can breath much easier now. Now I have to question whether the Sabres will win another game this year. They had a 14 game losing streak, so 20 doesn't seem like a stretch now.

If Noy-virt is still here, then yes I do. Losing Flynn doesn't do much for the tank. And with hot hands Hodgson scoring at will, we could win another six or seven games ;-) I just hope two of them don't come against the Yotes. Those should be very interesting games to watch.

I'm right there with you. I actually let the word "Yes" come out of my mouth after the last two Florida goals. Don't feel good about it, but I know after this season, it will never happen again...I hope.
