    After the last two games against probable playoff teams, there is no way we lose either game against the Coyotes or the game against the Leafs. Both those teams have gladly mailed it in and may not win again this year. They are absolutely pitiful to watch. The players don't care and the coaches don't care, unlike the Sabres. Edmonton still puts out an effort and plays to win every night, so it looks like 29th place to me IMO. May as well put in your order for a Hanifin jersey now and watch the Sabres clean out their lockers in April for the next few years.

    I don't know wtf Kenny Albert was talking about during the game when he said the Sabres need to finish in the bottom two in order to land one of the top two picks. Obviously he doesn't know too much about the lottery. It's 30th or bust if you want to be guaranteed either of those two guys. If we don't finish 30th, our only chance at McDavid is to win the lottery. 29th place gets you third pick if that 30th place team doesn't win the lottery. Albert needs to go back to baseball or basketball or whatever sport he started in. Or maybe he should just forget broadcasting all together and start biting women like his old man.

    Beautiful.....the Devils shut out the Pens tonight. You know what that means, Sabres should win no problem Friday night. I don't see NJ winning two in a row.

    I hate to agree, but without a top two pick this team won't be much better next year....or the year after....or, well, you get the picture. Evander Kane, Grigorenko or Reinhart are definitely not a McEichel. I wonder if Nolan and Irbe will be employed come Friday. How can this team be better than when they lost 14 in a row with a ton more talent?

    Awesome for Lindback. With that being said, he needs to ride the pine the next 12 games.

    I would really hate to see Lindback himself now in the shootout. Im pulling for him to get his first win this season. Boston, I want the win now.

    Holy Christ!!! I think I need to change my opinion of Lindback being the starter going into next season. He has been incredible the second half of this game.

    I can smell the smoke coming out of Murray's ears right now. That last minute goalie change is why the Sabres are getting at least one point. Hate to say it, but I can see the tailights on that car McDavid and Eichel are in and they are starting to fade heading west out of Buffalo on Rte 90.

    I don't know how this game isn't at least 4 or 5 to nothing. Boston is all over the Sabres, but they can't seem to get any quality chances.

    That there was some fugly hockey....from the Sabres that is. Total domination by them Boston bastards.

    Not a team I hate more in the NHL than Boston. With that being said I expect Buffalo to get taken to the woodshed. Sabres in the second game of a B2B and the Bruins coming off being shut out. But if Marchand leaves the game not knowing who he is, then win or lose, the game will be worthwhile.

    And if you're Keith Jones, Lindbock was in goal for the Sabres. But I gotta admit, I would much rather listen to Jones between the glass instead of MacGuire.

    No. He has been playing better, but his rebound control is horrendous. It's like his equipment is made out of silly putty.

    Not so sure. Things are ugly in SJ, either Thornton is gone, or the GM is gone. They will not both be in SJ next year, not after the comments Thornton made. I wouldn't be surprised if they try and trade him, especially if they don't make the playoffs.

    If Buffalo does get McDavid or Eichel, would you bring Thornton in for a few years? Looks like he is on the outs in SJ after telling the GM to "just shut his mouth". He is the best assist man in the league IMO. He could really mentor one of these young guys.

    Skapski again. Well, at least Edmonton got a loser point last night. The lead for McEichel is back up to four points for the time being.

    Those three shootout attempts were extremely weak. It's like they were trying not to score.

    Right, cause Myers never gets hurt. Winny fans need to do a little research. And with the rate defensive players are dropping between Rochester and Buffalo, I wouldn't be surprised to see some guys on PTOs with the Sabres before the end of the year.

    I haven't seen buckets of OV splits since the Penny Arcade days back in the early 90s. I think they came with a bag of coke as well. As for the Sabres tonight....I don't think they have a chance in this one. Think it may be the first non competitive game they've had in a while. With that being said, they will most likely win.

    This game is just killing time for me until 10:00 when Jackass's Bad Grandpa 0.5 comes on the Comedy channel.
