Are The Sabres A Dark Horse Contender for Jakob Chychrun?
Berg replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Prosportsdaily writes that we are interested in a defenseman from Arizona. https://www.prosportsdaily.com/Headlines/Article/761227 Jacob Chychrun. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/jakob-chychrun What are your thoughts on this? -
I agree with everything, but I feel sorry for Anderson.😅 Last year, all the hardest games were hung on Tokarski. Ulmark also could not stand the load and ran away when he realized that they would not pay big money. One thing I know is that those guys who lead the team to the Playoffs for the first time in many years will be heroes for everyone and get into the Buffalo Hall of Fame. Even if they fly out in the first round.

What's the plan? Play Anderson as the main goalkeeper until the age of 45? -

I liked that we knocked down the opponent's attacks with power moves. It was always a weak spot before, but we played well in this game. At the same time, faceoff statistics are sad. -

Try to forget about last year. It's new season and new page. -

In general, I liked our game in defense. They played aggressively and skillfully knocked down attacks. I liked how Jost broke the rules, but did not let go 1 on 1. Anderson played very well. Lacked a bit of luck in the attack. -

That is what we all want to see. Sharp agressive play and will to win. Nice game and respect to the guys!💪😎 -
A comment from a Toronto fan under the Toronto vs Buffalo game review on YouTube. They don't reckon with us and openly laugh at us. It is necessary if you can’t win at least beat the muzzle of the offenders. Then they will definitely see the difference.

The New Jersey Devils can do it, But not the Sabres.
Berg replied to FanaticSense06's topic in The Aud Club
Time is lost and the result of a series of defeats unfortunately gives very little chance of reaching the playoffs. I will be happy if the coaching staff manages to at least improve the game, act more aggressively in defense and not concede stupid goals. But the example of NJ shows even a blind man how to act in order to achieve a result, and not step on the same rake every year. -
According to https://www.google.com/amp/s/theathletic.com/3914218/2022/11/20/sabres-losing-streak-offseason-choices/%3famp=1 "History isn’t kind to teams who go this long without a point. Since 2000, 26 teams have had a streak of at least eight consecutive regulation losses. Of those, 17 finished the season last or second to last in the NHL standings. Of those 26 teams, zero made the playoffs, and the 2018-19 Blackhawks had the best finish at 18th in the NHL."

I have the same question. Aren't you tired of being dishonored? It's like they're bullying the fans. Sell the team if you can't do anything with it. -
Constant pruning in defense and one-on-one exits with goalkeepers, to be honest, pretty tired. We miss and lose due to constant errors and sleepy defense. Why do other teams cope with this, and we constantly let the opponent play as he wants ... Maybe we should take everyone to church?

Advanced Stats Say Goaltending the Issue, Not Defense
Berg replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club
The last game showed that the problems are mainly in defense. The opponent scores as much as he is allowed to. Vancouver scored in one touch according to a well-established scheme, or when they were not prevented from hitting on goal. You have to be more aggressive and block the shots. The goalkeeper needs to be secured. -
What is this team is missing to compete consistently?
Berg replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
4, 5, 6 - our 100% mistakes. I agree to pay 9 millions for a good goalie, but not to such a weak forward.. -
But I am believe in this team. Screen my words cause we will be in Playoffs next spring.

Next year, next year, next year every year the same...

They all will try to hit him and make another injury as for Mittelshtadt -
He looks like a real man. He defends teammates. Big respect to him.
