Gave up bothering with arguing with the analytics crowd a long time ago, and in general I'm a numbers guy. If you've got something worthwhile let me know and I'll use it because I want to win. The luck argument (and other concepts) get taken way to far IMO. What do you do with it?.....Oh we've been lucky now we're gonna lose some. Or we've been unlucky and we're better than our record and we will win when its our time....which of course runs the risk of becoming excuse making. Please don't act like biases people have with their eyes are so limited as to mean nothing. And, please don't act like the numbers capture everything we need to know, and give the missing not measured variables some credit too.

They looked especially good in transition. Forced a couple turnovers just inside the blueline and puck was in the net a split second later. Nice to see as opposed to Ralph's system of being patient and letting the ***** game come to you. SMDH

Saw the game tonight and came away feeling like these guys play for DG and they couldn't/wouldn't for RK. I said at the time they were the worst coached NHL team I've ever seen (including Smith). I am more convinced than ever that Ralph sucked and we'd have been respectable this year with decent coaching. What a waste and a shame. Go Casey, Rasmusses etc.

Trying to drive the value of Eichel down and get him for less is what I would presume is going on. Last year when people were saying he was amongst the very best players in the world did we ever hear about character concerns? .....NO

Another solid performance, not good enough, but DG has got them up on their toes and playing an improved all around game. I don't love our options 3-3 right now. We match up poorly with a team that has really high end players. Bottom line is our better players are not good in that type of situation.

Good to see the streak end. Glad Casey scored (anyone still think we let him go in expansion draft for Borgen?). Ullmark makes a difference for sure. Ralph being gone makes up 90% of the difference the last 3 games. The "rope a dope-be patient" philosophy is gone and we are playing with some tempo (which we always should have been). Many of the guys look better and more comfortable. Jeff is a little ball of hate out there again! Makes me wonder what we could do with a healthy Jack and Cozens. Taylor Hall? man you're a mess out there.

Everything about Ralph was "patience", that just doesn't fly in hockey 100%. Yes there may be a time for it, but a much more important cultural aspect is lost by playing without any initiative.

Something feels different (Linus Ullmark) today! I also think that it's not just how he plays, but a psychological aspect is also at play. The team has a goalie playing that they know will do his part. I like our chances today believe it or not. I also loved the 3 keys to the game Granato mentioned -don't watch, don't play safe, don't give up the line. All aggressive habits that were never in play when Ralph was here.
