Totally get the logistical aspect. Just curious as a one-person survey, but do you feel compelled by the hype to watch it this evening versus reading about it in the morning? (If you set aside the fact that there is playoff hockey going on at the same time). The NFL wants eyeballs on them all year long, if possible.

I too enjoy the draft from that perspective. Have for many, many years. It's the presentation and peripheral stuff that's gotten out of hand, IMO.

Because the NFL has to hype everything they do to get people juiced up. Turn it into a spectacle that fans don't want to miss. 'We'll be cutting live to Commissioner Goodell taking a dump. But first, here's Shaboozy performing his latest hit song ...' It's become so tiresome. The Draft has gotten beyond ridiculous.

That was weird about Johnson, wasn't it? Great value that late. I figured BB would be all over that one, but he chose the fastest DB in the draft over one of the slowest. But still, I would have thought Johnson was a perfect fit. Every team passed on him? Medical(knee)? Skeletons in the closet? I suspect tomorrow we'll hear about guys who have a chance to make the roster and be solid ST's contributors. Also hope the Bills get back into Rd 3 to get a guy they really like that can fill one of their big needs.

I like McLeod a lot. I'll be happier seeing him get to 20 goals than I will Tage getting to 40. Would be an excellent 3C on a good playoff team.

To think I was peeved earlier to find out the game was on NHL Network. Obviously a game all of North American hockey fans just had to see. 🙄 Serious question. Has anyone seen Marty Wilford open his mouth this year? The D is pure crap far too often and he just stands there like a wax figure in a museum. Say what you want about Appert but at least he’s engaged with the forward group during the game (for better or worse). What exactly is Wilford’s role during a game? Why is he even on this staff?

A player who can make passes to the tape? The Sabres badly need one of those playmakers.
