Wow! I remember watching that game. It was fantastic. Was away just starting my sophomore year in college watching MNF football with a few of my friends from WNY. Maybe the most memorable part for me was that we went out AFTER the game. Now, if the Bills aren't playing, I'm typically asleep by halftime. My how things change over the years.

I don’t think it’s crazy at all. The Ravens are the worst matchup for the Bills of all the remaining playoff teams.

Where have we seen this picture before in the playoffs? Minimal seconds left. Opponent needs a big play to get into scoring position. McD calls time out to set his defense. Opponent converts big play for field goal attempt. Fortunately it was doinked. Infuriating.

Those are the plays this defense is supposed to eliminate.

Just got back from the liquor store. I was inexplicably out of Buffalo Trace. A guy in the store sees my Bills shirt and gives me the side-eye, dismissive smirk. Me: “Is there a problem?” Him: “You guys suck. Gonna lose today” Me: “What time do the Pats play today?” Him: walks away quietly. Such is the life of Bills faithful in Pats land. Go Bills!!

Just saw that Kyle Williams will be the 'Legend of the Game' on Sunday. Can't imagine what the energy in that stadium will be like by kickoff. KW was one of my all-time favorite Bills.

But we all know it won't, amirite?

That’s KA’s MO right? Get rid of the one guys that’s doing things right on a consistent basis for a couple chances on guys who might 4 or 5 years from now. As has been stated by many here, we need more Jason Zuckers, not fewer.

I was hoping they wouldn't pull any of these guys into this tire fire. But I suppose Levi won't want to wait until he's 28 years old for a permanent call up.

What can possibly go wrong with that plan?

Was watching a Cover 1 preview of the upcoming Denver game. Somehow in the press the Broncos defense has been seemingly risen to the level of the '85 Bears defense. Decided to look at the Broncos' season. W-L versus quality of opponents played. For the purposes of this exercise I have thrown out the season finale vs. the Chiefs JV squad. Thus, 16 games total. Here are the outcomes: 16 total games played, 6 versus teams in the playoffs Wins: 10, with only one of those against a playoff team (the similarly 10-7 Bucs) Losses: 6, with 5 of those versus playoff teams. The one loss to a non-playoff team was a couple weeks ago against the 9-8 Bengals So: 1-5 vs. teams in the playoffs Not suggesting that this will be a cakewalk by any stretch but the Broncs' schedule has certainly contributed to its defensive metrics. I just feel like there is a good amount of BBFS out there (not necessarily on this board). I like the Bills' D to adequately hold up against a rookie quarterback (even if he is 32 years old 😆) in Buffalo. At the end of the day, as the axiom goes: "We have Josh Allen. You don't".

Just got back from the Amerks game. A few things: Amerks went up 4-1 in the second. Chased the SPR goalie in the process. I was triggered. Murray was on a line with Östlund. Seeing the two of them next to each other looked like they were playing in a father-son game. Murray is huge and uses none of his size. Rosen doesn’t appear any bigger than he was a year ago.

I'll never forget what Jason Botterill said when he became GM. He was talking about the Amerks at the time but is applicable to this Sabres team now. "Getting your brains beat in every night is NOT development".

Punch, the bolded is interesting. And couldn't agree more. I think one of the problems KA has is that having players who enjoy hanging out and having fun together is his idea of team chemistry. That really misses the mark, doesn't it? . The Bills by all accounts enjoy each other and have fun. But if someone is continuously f'ing up that individual won't much enjoy being in that locker room. Winning is too important to that team.

That sh!t is creative and funny. And at the same time very scary.

That 4th quarter is a preview of next week’s game. Lots of playing time for unfamiliar faces.

I believe this is the sixth time this year the Sabres have chased a starting goalie. Isn’t that an above average number of games to do so in a whole season, let alone in 36 games? (Leaving the outcomes out of the conversation 🙄).

So a 91 point season but barely missing out on the playoffs gets the coach fired when the team regresses afterward. Is 91 points becoming the coaching career equivalent of the dreaded two goal lead?

Agree with both comments above. Josh can be super human but the D will determine how far we go in the playoffs.

Happy for them but, crap, was looking forward to seeing Helenius (and Wahlberg, too) live next Friday night in Springfield.

I truly hope it is not a serious matter with him or his family. But when he disappeared without explanation my first thought was he decided, and let it be known, that he was no longer going to try to ‘polish that turd’ on the air. Then was subsequently told to take some time off to think about it. In all likelihood it’s probably something less juicy than that though.
