    Yeah this is my feelings also. Normally I'd just get my own name (jersey foul?) and a significant number i.e. I have several football jerseys that were given to me with milestone ages (21, 30) my soccer shirts all have numbers 4 or 5 as that was my own number when I played. My first Sabres Jersey has 18 on it as I only started following the sabres in 2018. The 50th top is pretty special, deserves a nameplate and number imo.

    In interviews we keep hearing how each player will be given a chance to win a place on the team. That players will be there on merit and not reputation. I'm not actually convinced. Now maybe it's too early to read into lines. But I'm becoming less enthusiastic that the guys like Borgen and Gilmour will be on the team ahead of trash like scandella.

    Hope he has a great season for two reasons: (1) make us better and (2) I got him as a late round pick in my fantasy draft!

    Hopefully, though, they do well. And it's because Cozens is carrying the team - Atlas-like - on his shoulders for the entire year.
