  1. Cannot blame UPL, or anybody. Freaky goal.
  2. I like having Greenway on this team.
  3. Look at our team. Why the f€KC can’t they be good? They can. We are better than 5he Rangers tonight. Oh my, JJP SCORES
  4. Our 4th line finally scores and it’s against the best goalie in the league.
  5. Greenway is playing well. Deserved and big for this team.
  6. TNT score. Way back in the progression of this goal, Gilbert made a great play.
  7. Caught in a landslide ….
  8. Yes Dan, we have been looking for it. Way to go Cozens. keep working.
  9. It did not seem like we were outhit by that margin. The Sabre had 1:50 more offensive possession time. That can drive the hits count, as can what building you are in.
  10. Lame call. Boarding. What happened to the game?
  11. Sounds like Lindy hated giving up two PPGs to Detroit as much as we did.
  12. Good evening Teammates Big one tonight. MUSCLE WEIGHT
  13. Nice pipes on the singer. Great job.
  14. Why the constant hand wringing on Cozens? I am guessing it is his salary and his slotting as a 2C, and that is all 100% on Adams. Cozens also possess an "A" which to me was a curious move since they had Tuch and Tage already and Cozens maturity level does not warrant an A. Right now Cozens is a 3C that is still learning his way. He might end up a good middle 6 winger too. His ceiling could be a 2C someday but he sure looks like a 3C given his shooting and play making abilities. There are plenty of first round players like him that get to develop slower and not carry so much weight on their shoulders. Look at his draft class. Hughes was 1OA and is the stand out player. Cozens scoring output is in the next tier of forwards with Boldy, Caulfied and Zegras - Cozens has played more games than these guys. Most young players don't get pushed as soon, as fast, or as hard as he has Adams did him a disservice IMO, but Adams purposely built rosters with no veteran blockers (a scheme that was foolish and did not work). Cozens has been more productive than Kakko, Newhook and Dach so far, but he needs to pick up his scoring and be more consistent, like most of the young guys on this team.
  15. So what will happen with this thread? Is it a topic that lives? Is the OP going to update the fancy stats and change the title names every week?
  16. One would hope that Terry has learned when to back away from Hockey Operations by now. He tried being involved and hiring all his hockey friends, he tried alumni, he tried letting his wife run it, he tried outside people. He needs to try backing away and getting proven people to run the team, no matter what team they came from, hire a GM that has already built solid teams consistently and that is respected in the league.
  17. If Adams is still around you are probably correct.
  18. Can't wait for tonight's game. It should tell us something about the team.
  19. No doubt that when you watch the two in action, Dahlin and Tage, its Tage that stands out as the quiet leader while Dahlin shows a lot more emotion and at times some of it is unfortunately wasteful emotion. To the bold, this definitely happened last game. Dahlin and the team would have been better off he just dropped the gloves and got the whistle (or not waste all that time in a senseless scrum), - instead they scored on Dahlin and Byram, both were late to the play and out of position. Dahlin is still learning the nuances.
  20. Yes, Zucker is willing to do more to help this team than several past FAs. I’m looking at you Taylor Hall.
  21. Ottawa is much better than you indicate at this point in the season, and just like Buffalo, they are team looking to improve. Despite giving up 5 last night they have a +5 goal differential so to say they are soft defensively has not been the case on the scoreboard. It was an excellent win against a team that is a direct competitor in our quest to make the playoffs. No, we are not a Cup contender, but last night was a nice step for this group.
  22. Consistently “playing hard “ has not been in the Sabres DNA for a very long time. It will take time to get it there but last night was a good start. Ruff is pushing their buttons. Healthy scratches, big performance by UPL, clean hard hits, fighting for the right reasons, crashing the net, better special teams. Now do it on the road against the Rangers. Consistency is the key. Winning will get contagious if they are willing to do what it takes to win.
