His Dad is Kjell.

I like McLeod as a 3C. I get why he could get 2C minutes on this team. The center spline is a mess and nowhere near playoff caliber without Thompson. They are a marginal group even with him IMO. We will need to see few lightbulbs going off - Cozens and Krebs need to grow up right now if this team is going to make the playoffs. Bryson in the top 4 is not a good thing. Bryson is a decent 6/7 that has some ability. His play dropped against lowly Montreal when teamed with Power - two non physical players. Bryson can compliment Clifton on the 3rd pair as Bryson has the better wheels and can move the puck quickly, and Clifton can clear the net front and is willing to do it. I hope Joker gets a chance on the 2nd pair as Lindy works through this situation.

If I was his Dad I would not have wanted him to sign with Buffalo either, especially at that time with yet another regime change in process.
-
Just thinking back to the promise he showed. 6'4" and 227 lbs but just not durable. His availability for the past 2 seasons plus this one is 61%. He was probably playing injured for a lot of those games.
-
Wrong example. That was a trade forced out of abandonment. Eichel wanted out, the injury was the excuse that the Sabres used to oblige him. It was a teardown trade, not a trade used to make a significant leap forward.
-
He is not for me unless he is practically free. He could easily be another EJ Part 2, and I don't want to spend assets on a older vet rental player, we tried that already. Get more players in their prime that set an example by their play and will put a few seasons in and help us grow. Finding a defensive defenseman is not that hard at all, they are the most common defenseman out there. Finding a guy with offensive skills and high-potential like Byram was probably harder, but did we need him when we already had Power and Dahlin? That trade did not make the team better in the near term, and it created a bigger hole at center than the one we had on defense. The problem with our defense should not be that hard to fix, but Adams is very cautious and maybe that will eventually work for him? The defense is only one move away from getting better. We need a defensive stalwart in the top four to fill the role that Muel is not filling.
-
I can understand that line of thinking, a blockbuster trade is risky and Adams has never made one.
-
True to some extent, but the league has it share of finishers that rely on their line mates. Benson is still developing and his overall game is ahead of Quinn right now. So if your packaging players to trade you want to keep Benson out of the two. People want a blockbuster trade that changes the teams personality, which means we have to give up something big (see LaFontaine for Turgeon).
-
Big to me is on the scale of Turgeon and others for LaFontaine and others. That is what is needed, but I don’t trust Adams to do it.
-
We need that winger to open space for Cozens and Benson.

I thought this picture was of Claude himself. When he posted, i would match his words to the avatar and laugh. The guy was funny, and clever, he had great timing on his comments too.
-
Brings his lunch bucket to work. He is a WR4/5. Adds an excellent blocking WR element. Strong special teams player too.

Thanks. He said “I don’t know if we came out and thought it was going to be an easy game …”. To me that is a rhetorical question from someone who doesn’t know the reason, but is throwing something out there. The tweet was poorly written. The teams performance, especially for a team playing at home, was very poor. It goes back to culture, this Core group, as was the core group before them, and the Core group before them, is known to display inconsistent effort and to struggle against lesser teams that play a heavy game. Fixable by bringing in more mature players that know how to do things right.
-
The Tweet is poorly written and doesn’t use quotes, so we don’t know what he said exactly. Even the word “maybe” could be the writers opinion. All it tells me is that the culture change has not taken hold yet, and there are more changes needed to this roster. It’s going to take time and there will be updates and downs.

They were bad from the start but they really lost a lot when Thompson came out of the game. We got to see Cozens at 1C and Krebs at 3C and it was not good enough. The Power/Bryson combo was bad. Bryson is a 7/6, not a 4 We won’t win enough games this season with Cozens at 2C, Quinn in the line up, and the soft top 4 defense that includes Power playing 22+ minutes with bad partners. These particular players are not ready for the load they are being asked to carry right now. They still may become very good player’s someday, but they are inconsistent right now. Power with Bryson/Joker is not a playoff 2nd pair. We knew this a few years ago, right?

Bowen Byram- After a tough start, continues to improve

I prefer keeping him at 7 and improving the top 6. Lets see if he maintains his level of play - he certainly has been playing faster and smarter, and even using his body more. My concern is with late season and playoff style hockey and whether he can hold up. The game gets physically harder as the season goes on. He has looked good so far. -
Oh my, this is sad news. I really enjoyed his contributions and his humor. RIP and God bless his family.

The game was closer than I liked but it’s the NFL and anything can happen. Allen had to go without s few of his top receivers, he had a few misfires, but he ran and made several big plays as we are accustomed to seeing. Defense forced turnovers, was a bit up and down but tightened up in the second half. (the last drive Colt TD and its associated yards were garbage yards.). DOUBLE DUB WEEKEND AGAIN Sabres W Bills W.

The title is still ridiculous. If this thread is for monitoring Braam’s stats and overall play then make that the name. If it’s to riducule the player with the worst analytics then name it that. -
It looks like this could be an interesting match up. Bills will be depleted at WR with Coleman out, Cooper and. Samuel are questionable. Allen still has Shakir and Kincaid, but I expect to see a big dose of Cook and Ray Davis if the OL can dominate the LOS. Colts are weak versus the run. Colts will probably try to establish a running game of their own. Jonathan Taylor has been a challenge for Buffalo in the past. I expect to see the Bills prevail and Buffalo to get Double Dip Dubs following the Sabres win on Saturday. Go Bills !

No doubt Gilbert is 8 out of 8 when you look at overall skill level. It sure looked like the 2nd penalty was on Laffferty (81) for putting a stick blade on someone around the arms/hands. Lafferty went to the box, then they switched him with Gilbert. Unfortunately, we cannot count on Dunleavy and Ray to keep up with the game and clarify the call either. Byram is playing much better, but like all of them, when you play that many minutes you will make some mistakes. Every defenseman in the league is out there for goals scored against their team. I like that Lindy is rotating the 8. Keep them fresh and hungry. -
Will Byram take 7 if Power is at 8.3? Byram 7M, Power 8.3M, Dahlin 11M, Muel 4.3M. That’s over $30.6M plus you have to pay for 5, 6, and 7 and have #8 on a two way contract.
