  1. Nice Cozens. If ever a guy needed one.
  2. Reimer is giving us a chance. We have a decent chance to get some points tonight.
  3. They are competing in the wildcard band of teams right now. They have flaws but they are also progressing in some aspects. They are playing a back to back, 3 in 4 night string. Thompson and Greenway out. They can gets points here tonight
  4. Gilbert is fresh but didnt get a game.
  5. He is doing fine. The Sabres need to give him better support.
  6. He made 10 saves before that. Some were tough ones. He needs help around the net with rebounds though.
  7. Sabres need more energy. They are playing to SJ’s level.
  8. Clifton struggled on that shift. Missed a clearing pass, missed a check, then shot it into the stands.
  9. No. Couldn’t really settle on one. Desjardins came on strong in the next seasons to come, but he was a late season add with Crozier hurting and still settling in.
  10. Good evening Teammates, Let’s see what they have left in the tank, and in their heads. MUSCLE WEIGHT
  11. It’s in an interview video that I saw.
  12. You never know about goalies. He could get into a zone and give us great game tonight. He is a long standing professional and appears to like playing on this team. Maybe he can give us what he gave Detroit last season (3.11, 0.904).
  13. I am not sure that players on the ice (in this case Clifton) playing at game speed can see everything and accurately determine that Gudas threw a "good clean hit", but the ref was right there and did not call it, so I don't have a complaint with the hit. We have the benefit of a nice comfy seat and replay. Gudas is not an angel, he is a known tough guy. Clifton, who gives up 14 pounds, pretty much asked him to go and they dropped them. I don't see how this hurts the game of hockey but there are many fans like you that don't like it. I respect the opinion, but I don't think that any of the scraps yesterday hurt the game. I think the responses helped the Sabres as this team learns to play together and play for each other. I did not see the Ducks protesting anything either. They got two power plays out of it after all. It is hockey in North America, the type of hockey I like best. I absolutely believe that teams that do not police the game, and rely solely on the refs to do it, will not advance in the standing's or in the playoffs. To see Clifton stand up to a tough customer, to protect a newer player on the team shows me that the team is coming together. I do not support fighting a guy just because he scored a goal. That logic does not translate to what happened either. I do support fighting when you feel that an unnecessary hit was made against your teammates. The players don't have instant replay, everything is high speed and heat of the moment. The Ducks had a 2-0 lead and they were trying to intimidate. Look at the replay prior to the Benson scrap. Note that 6'5' and 235 pound Ross Johnston came across the ice to try to blast 5'10" and 170 pound Benson. Benson did not have the puck and he had to duck away. Then immediately after that Harken blasted Cozens. Clean hit on Cozens? Probably so. Benson didn't think so and jumped in, maybe foolishly, but he did and that is that. I have no problem with it other than putting them on a PP. If Lindy has a problem with it he will talk to Benson about it. We finally are starting to look and act like a team that cares. I like it. Florida did not win the Cup last season by being choir boys. No one does.
  14. Quinn and Cozens need to get better because Lindy is going to give their ice to Kulich if they don't. This is how it is supposed to work.
  15. The Sabres are in a dogfight for the 8th slot. There are six teams bunched together. They are not a juggernaut by a long shot. Every team is capable of beating them on any given night (recall Montreal and a Philly). Tonight will be tough because it’s a road trip back to back , with Reimer in net, and they will be tired. The Sharks will want this one bad for Joe Thornton Night too. They can have an early offensive explosion and win it, but I expect a tough game.
  16. But I’m also saying 2 good games is not enough to waive a player when we don’t have to. Let’s see some more good games from kulich first. I need to see more.
  17. I have no clue what your above comment is asking or who this goal scorer is. I disagree with the notion that you think the fights were an abomination because the hits were clean. The fights were excellent responses for the situation at the time. We were down 2-0 and the Ducks were starting to take liberties. The play of the Sabres team changed at that point. We won. Build on it.
  18. Sure. He has two solid games now, and a goal. But he is a player that can go back without waivers, so that is a factor, despite the media hype on twitter If he stays it’s because he improves the center spline, which has been a need all along. Cozens has been inconsistent at 2C. Malenstyn is not going to get waived. Lafferty either. Aube-Kubel could be the one if Ruff really wants to keep Kulich up. We shall see. Don’t forgot we have Thompson and Greenway to slot back in. Our best offensive forward and our best defensive forward. It’s great to finally see some good options and depth.
  19. He scores a big goal you hear “keep him up”. Right now he is still developing his game and he is looking like good NHL depth. Being in Rochester does not mean he can’t get more games with the Sabres. I must add that I am intrigued and surprised with his play at center. Most of the draft and Rochester experts say he projects to wing. Lindy likes guys that can play both.
