You have been quite optimistic lately. I just want them to get 2 points tonight. -

I am glad it was nothing. I will be looking to see what "everything they got" looks like tonight. Both teams are on losing streaks and TNT should have some interesting takes on it. -

There will be lots of college aged kids from NYC area enjoying great seats at rock bottom prices. -
The existence of this thread makes Cozens the scapegoat of the season. I stand by my thought that he is not playing at a 2C level for the team, but he is not the only big problem either. They are asking more of him than he can give, its clear. Just play him down one line and let him get going. I fear that another woeful move from the Sabres woeful GM that will ship him out, and inevitably he will flourish somewhere else.

The problem with upgrading the HC right now is that the root cause of the problem is not fixed. Why does the Sabres organization continue to fail? the answer is not Lindy Ruff. You know the answer. Fix the root cause.

And he was picked as an Alternate Captain. Crazy.

True. But I think Bots saw the bigger picture - such as playing at the cap floor for 2 years and still not being at the cap 4 years later.

sure. And it also occurs to me that there are probably a dozen really good players on the team, stuck in a losing culture, who had to play in poor coaching systems, and in an organization that that does not have the leadership and the know how to build a competitive team. Many, many players leave and have good careers, and some have great ones.

One of the knocks on the Sabres organization is the high level of turnover. They tried to stop that perception when they gave Granato a good look. Firing Lindy after 30 games will only keep the really good coaches and GMs further away. Besides, do you think Terry and Adams can run a coach search? They just showed us last off season that they are not willing, or able to perform a proper coach search. Berube was out there, he publicly said that he never got a call from Adams. He seems to be doing ok in Toronto. I have no desire to turn it over to Seth Appert either. Which is likely to be Adams next move. If Lindy goes then I want to see Adams go before him. I prefer they finish the season before they blow up another regime. After that - Hire a POHO. Let him hire the GM. Let the GM hire the coach. Let the coach hire his staff. Do it like normal teams do it for a change. Losing leads at home is a mental and physical weakness by the players. It was there before Lindy.

We just don't know. We don't know how hard he practices, we don't know how hard he works in the off season. We don't if the injury is still there or still in his head. Could be a slump, sophomore jinx, or it could be he doesn't have any more than what we saw. He did look like a smart and skilled young winger at one time so maybe he comes back to that? Right now he is hurting the team and they are better off playing Kulich.

Good move. Greenway is back, Krebs should really go back to bottom 6, so the need for Kozak is lessened. Kozak got a taste of the NHL and he did great. Now he can go back to work in the AHL and work on things. This is what normal teams do.

The sun is up today. The Holidays are here and I am busy everyday and I feel healthy. We diehards are going to need to re-focus. This team is what they are. We cant change it. Only they can.

No Billboard. The last Adams presser is all over the hockey world. No more bad press. The league is open for trades, we need to keep the dysfunction under wraps. I have calls or texts from friends and colleagues in NYC area, DC, New England, So Cal, So Florida, St Louis, and Pittsburgh about this team and the GM video and the palm trees? It is all out there.

Realistically, the 6 teams ahead of us are not ALL going to lose 3 in a row at the same time. Some of those teams will be playing each other. The more teams ahead of us, the harder it gets. I truly understand the simple arithmetic involved. We have 10 games left in December, we need to win 7 or 8 of those 10 to start coming back up the standings. Thankfully there are 7 road games in that mix. This team needs a road trip. They need to get away, they seem to fear playing at home.

Another game where the opponent changes their goalie, and then comes back to win it. Both in our building. Terrible, terrible result tonight. The Wings know Reimer, he played for them, they had the shoot out, but it should never have got to that. Detroit gains a point and we fall further behind in the conference.
