  1. I would not be so sure that KO is done in Buffalo. Adams likes him and wants him in the organization in some capacity. Zemgus brings a game that no one else does. Jost and Krebs are centers and are lightweights in comparison to KO and Z, they will not bring the same game to the lineup. You are stripping away what little veteran grit we have. Krebs can act like a pest with 21 and 28 on his wing, they will back him up. When they leave who will do that? If there is one thing the team does not need is more youth. Without Anderson they average about 23.7 years, by far the youngest team in the league. Take 28-19-21 line out of the rotation and we are missing a lot. They are the only line that plays the body, and they all contribute on the PK. They may be considered the 4th line but they sometimes get more minutes than the 2nd line, and sometimes more than the 3rd line. People underestimate their value when they look only at points scored. You also said they need more scoring? They are 2nd in the league in scoring. Next year you would expect that Quinn, Peterka, and Cozens will score more just by natural progression. There is much more opportunity to improve the defensive game of this team. That will provide the most benefit. Get the goals against down.
  2. Hotel California Guitar Solo. Don Felder and Joe Walsh. As part of my retirement journey I started to play my guitars again. They were put away for a very long time. At one time I was ok at it, but then I moved away from my music friends - I got into other things, live a bunch of places, - work, travel, career, wife, kids, etc. Last January my wife set my acoustic guitar on it's stand and put it the living room, hint, hint, hint. It looked pretty sitting there and it presented a big challenge. She was just hoping I could find things to do in retirement and not drive her crazy being around the house more than ever before. I have been playing them just about every day since. I actually learned that solo this summer using Youtube guitar lessons. It took me weeks to get it. The video inspires me because I am looking for a device called a "Looper". It allows you to play a guitar piece, like a chord rhythm- and the looper device will record it based on your start and stop cues and then loop it indefinitely. You control it with a footswitch. Once I get this Looper I should be able to loop that chord pattern and practice the solo against it. This will help keep the time of the solo intact to make it sound correct. My son has a simple low cost ($100) looper that I have used. I never had anything like that in my playing days. They have more elaborate loopers that support multi-layered tracks and also provide percussion. I am looking into something like that. I just need to buy one and get going.
  3. I remember this one. I think we saw the valiant effort on TV. I certainly remember it.
  4. No. Just reinforcing that his .89 ppg is constrained by his line. For now at least.
  5. Cozens is literally breaking in two rookies that get sheltered, so Cozens jumps on other lines to get more ice. Plus he plays PP and PK. Cozens will be a ppg player when he plays in more optimal conditions. But this is helping him grow.
  6. We are predictable, and usually more predictable on defense. Frazier runs McD’s favorite defense. If we change the DC we can only hope the next guy has better game day situational skills to make adjustments. By and large, they will play McD’s defense. Not an aggressive defense. On offense Dorsey played Daboll’s offense, only not nearly as well. Allen covers for a lot with his ability to make a play. Not a fan of Dorsey after his first year. He calls a lot of over aggressive, low percentage, plays looking for a big bang. The NFL is not college. I think Josh regressed in some ways from the lack of support and too much freedom under Dorsey.
  7. Lots of coach hating here and at TSW but the defensive “players” really came out flat and got stream rolled, and that took the crowd out early. How can a team not get up for a home playoff game ?
  8. Great question. Philly looks like they have enough offense to win the SB. They are a complete team. SF is all defense. The AFC has 3 strong teams with great QBs. I rank them Cinci, KC, and Buffalo.
  9. Yet they hang around for a shootout? That takes time too. Time is not a valid reason. The flights are chartered, that is not the issue. Player safety is the issue, that and work load concerns from NHLPA. Except for the playoffs, then they play normal hockey until the game is decided. I don’t care either way. OT is exciting. They try to get a winner quickly. Fine.
  10. No on the possession, the better skilled players should not be constrained by arbitrary changes like this. You should not have different rules for OT. That’s one more thing for the ref to decide (and screw up) and it slows everything down. I do like the 10 minutes and no shoot out.
  11. Cozens was out. Asplund had not played in many weeks. We had a lot of PKs. Forced DG to juggle lines to use his bench.
  12. They made up a lot of ground. I think they went from 8 out to now only 1 out in that stretch, and they have games in hand.
  13. You don’t think UPL played a great game?
  14. 7 out of 8 points is awesome. UPL not even close on any of those shots.
  15. Haven’t seen a shoot out in awhile. get it done Sabres … get that point.
  16. Hard earned point. Fluery made a few saves that he didn’t know he made. Let’s put these guys away.
  17. Icing. The linesman suck tonight too
  18. No. The Sabres bench talked to the refs about it though
  19. No Rayzor, he doesn’t want 77-74-22 as a line, so he split them up
  20. My network went into a black hole!
  21. North Stars getting the better calls tonight. Ref missed two high stick calls. The last one against Mitts would have been a 4 minute, they scored 30 seconds later. Win the 3rd and win the game.
  22. They should have been killing a penalty
  23. Looks like ref missed another high stick. Mitts cut
  24. Nice goal. 19 did a lot of work.
