  1. You don't believe this do you? Sabres will win it 6-3 and our fans will be happy. Here is a picture of Montreal's top prospect, Pierre LaPuck, working on his breakaways.
  2. First of all the AHL is not lower competition for Savoie, lets see him compete down there and earn a callup. I thought you wanted trades to bring in vets to help us make the playoffs? Now you want to sink or swim with two under 20 rookies? Which one is it?
  3. If the Sabres play like they did against NYI it won’t matter who is in goal. Need to nullify some Bills pain.
  4. Stunning is a good word for it. Look at the offense versus Miami and then all the games since. They are getting worse every week. That is two losses to NFL bottom feeders. The offense is also pretty healthy. Looking like the coaches have lost the players. Bench Davis and Knox and play whoever can contribute.
  5. They play on the checking line and on the PK. You can look up their stats yourself. They lead in their way, they are not going to do what Johnson did publicly, it’s not their nature and the reality is they don’t have the same experience as Johnson to even say that. Johnson is new, he can shake things up and still carry himself. The more leaders that emerge the better the team will get. What Johnson did is not a signal to call out the few vets we have. If you don’t understand that point then I can’t help you.
  6. And then he can go on to win the Vezina and a Stanley Cup. It’s happened before.
  7. Yes it does. I spelled it out for you. Focus on the bold. He has a Stanley Cup Ring. No one else does. He went through the rebuild in Colorado, he went from last place to a Stanley Cup win. He is more than qualified to speak up and was probably expected to. The newcomer wants to do it again, in Buffalo this time. He still has fire in him.
  8. I have heard good things about Memphis BBQ, just down the big river from St Lou.
  9. Whoa. They are bigger as in "taller and heavier" than many teams. They are probably not stronger on many nights. Their much lower average age tell us that. I am talking playing strength, not fighting. If they want to think they are stronger I am all for it. Their mindset should be like that.
  10. The newcomer has a Stanley Cup Ring. No one else does. He went through the rebuild in Colorado, he went from last place to a Stanley Cup win. He is more than qualified to speak up and was probably expected to. The newcomer wants to do it again, in Buffalo this time. He still has fire in him.
  11. I think Allen is hurt again. Today he was never comfortable because the OL pass protection was poor, and he got out of the pocket a lot. The have cut back his running, he is running at 1/3rd the rate of last season at this point. After Diggs, there is Davis and Knox - and they have been disappointing and unreliable. After that is Kincaid, Sherfield, Shakir, and Harty. Kincaid has good potential, the others can contribute but they play at the journeyman level. The defense is what surprised me. This was a very bad Pats* offense going into the game, averaging only 12 point per game. Even with all the injuries (Tre, Milano, Jones, Oliver) we should have been better.
  12. The game was horribly officiated, much to the benefit of NE. Still, the Bills offense was "not prepared" for the 3rd week in a row. They did not score a TD in the first half. They cannot execute consistently. They clearly are making Allen stop running and trying to get more people involved but it seems the offense has a lot of mediocre talent after Diggs. There are no playmakers besides Allen/Diggs. Knox with another big drop, Davis invisible again, the OL was terrible in pass blocking. Something is wrong. Defensively, we were absolutely terrible on the first drive and on the last drive. In between they were simply inconsistent against a team that averaged about 12 points per game. Make no mistake, NE has terrible offense and a terrible QB, but not today. At least we can say "no Tre, no Milano, no Oliver, no Jones" but still, we have enough horses to beat this team that was literally circling the drain up until today. MCDermott and Dorsey have to be better. They have a tough game on Thursday with a short week. Thankful that Tampa will not have too much time to prepare, Bellicheck revealed a lot of warts today. This loss puts us two behind Miami, and that is 3 straight really lousy games, and we are looking more like a Wild Card with each passing week.
  13. Comrie needs to play more. UPL needs to play more. They should share the backup role until one separates himself. After that happens, you trade the other one if you can. The Sabres are a very much a developing team, they are conducting tryouts as they go. The trick is committing to win while they do this.
  14. I think he will be a good player someday. He is learning right now that he needs to get stronger. He will grow and add muscle. He is a natural, he knows where to be, he already plays a two way game. He will be hard to play against someday.
  15. I’ve been hankering for it. Greenway does not look like the same guy he was last year. EJ has elevated the PK and is a true leader. I also noticed that Clifton was clearing out the front of the net and playing solid defense yesterday. He packs a lot of muscle. Unfortunately, the late goal deflected off of him. His miscues get noticed more than his good plays.
  16. Levi is a much better prospect than the other 2 goalies. Comrie played well last night, he made the big saves early to keep us in it, but overall we dominated the last 30 against a tired team. Levi has not been the problem.
  17. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall of the dressing when they prepared for the isles game. EJ message was received and understood. Sure, the Islanders were on a B2B , but we really played a complete game last night.
  18. Good point. The isles were tired and we keep draining them. Beating Montreal will be huge and we will do it. Put the Black Goat Heads on.
  19. Tage is ready to erupt. It will happen and when it does we go on a win streak.
  20. True, the bottom 6 will evolve just like my Sunday Sugo. It takes time, we could see some young players from Rochester later in the year that help us too.
  21. True. Absolutely. If Comrie can be 1B that helps Levi be his best.
  22. Mitts plays his best with Skinner and Tuch. Tage, Greenway and Cozens can be dominant. That could be a lot of firepower. .
