  1. Oh, Johansson is the goalie. would love to put 6 in tonight.
  2. Any else tired of talking about Stamko? I missed the entire first period and I’ve heard enough.
  3. Good evening Teammates, Punch checking in. Just joined, happy to see a 2-0 lead. Keep it up boys.
  4. Not by me. I see more things I like about Clifton. OK, he tripped, or was tripped, and that led to a goal. He knocked a goal in accidentally - every defenseman does. So what to either. I like the clean hitting, the hustle, the attitude, and the potential.
  5. Well, Josty needs a game but it is almost like Meatballs is reading SabreSpace. This is an nice opportunity for Krebs.
  6. The difference is 2% or less, so to me not much difference over 10 years of league data. I know you like crunching numbers. I still would base my play calls more on my players abilities and strengths than any other factor (my second factor would be my opponents weaknesses). We have not had powerful run blocking centers and guards (although the addition of O'Cryrus might improve things in that area) and big bruising power backs in recent years. So this supports the concepts of spread formations, allow Allen to throw on occasion, or give Allen the option to run. All of these can be done from a shotgun but are not exclusive to a shotgun. I think we are agreeing.
  7. I don't think the sky is falling because we are 0-2 either. If we win 5 in a row and get to 5-2 I still won't say we are a playoff team either. Points are points, every games counts, but we have a long season ahead of us and this roster looks like it will challenge for the 7th or 8th spot if the goaltending holds up.
  8. What matters is one or two years of data on our team. Data with our QB, our OC, our OL, and our RBs. Ten years of data of the whole league should look like a wash Success comes having the personnel to execute the scheme, not the scheme by itself
  9. He has 2 games of information to assess. If he moves VO in game 3 that seems to be about right. He has to come up with 4 lines, not just fix 1.
  10. I feel it is a little early to call the Tage line lazy. It is actually ridiculous to think that cutting their ice time in game 3 is going to help them. Game one they looked rusty so take into consideration that they did not play much, or together, in preseason. Game two they really started to generate chances by the last half of the game. They had some good shifts. They need to play more, not less. Big goal scorer tend to be streaky and score in bunches.
  11. Taro was more of a sniper and somewhat of a puck hog too.
  12. Well those are the basic facts of running from the two formations. A benefit the shotgun gives you is the threat of the quick pass. Which is why Dorsey is using it, it makes you think pass. From the shotgun the defense has to think about the quick slant or fade into the end zone. For runs from the shotgun to work he is counting on the IOL to win their battles, and they quite often do not, especially when they are outnumbered in the middle. Of course, being under center gives you the option of play action too.
  13. Against a stacked line in short yardage: When QB is under center - The play is based on timing. The RB runs to line and gets the ball on the way, so you are starting with speed and you hit the hole with momentum. If no hole, the RB might be able to make one, or find a seam, or bounce it outside. The RBs power comes from speed. F=ma. In the shotgun - the qb gets the ball to awaiting RB with no speed or momentum. If no hole you usually lose yards. You literally learn this before high school level football.
  14. I don’t think they get along.
  15. Add Allen to the list of injured. He will likely play through it but he is hurting. Billichek will be looking at this film (digital video files) and Dorsey better have something new planned. The criticism of Diggs is wrong. Diggs is not the problem. We lack a legit #2 receiver. We lack a true slot receiver. Knox is average. Kincaid is a hurt rookie. The RBs are average as in the OL. Allen and Diggs are who the opponent worries about.
  16. I did not enjoy the game. My expectations are high and the Bills offense laid another egg. On offense we have Allen and Diggs and a bunch of mediocre players. Ugly W, but still a W.
  17. I would have to see Savoie play in the NHL. Long term he should be a much better player. Right now he is an unproven rookie.
  18. Don't despair after 2 games. Give it time, lets see were we are at the Holidays. You even said after the first game that some people here were over reacting, don't join them.
  19. Just like he did last season carrying two rookies and playing with numerous line combos, plus PP and PK - and still scoring 31 goals at 21 years of age. Cozens is among the least of my worries right now.
