I prefer being in the playoff race and learning these lessons now. Tonight our coach got schooled, hopefully he learned a few things. Granato killed the last 5:50 of 5his game when he pulled the goalie and basically invited an ENG. Then he did it again on a PP with 4:20 left. Could have been 3-2 with a goal there and no ENGs on us. Instead it’s 5-1 and game over. You can’t pull your goalie on Boston for longer than 2 minutes.

Looks like run and gun, high speed and skill to start with. Hopefully we get to the add goaltending and defense part of the game soon.

I don’t concede that. We are following a completely different model and building a different team. St Louis built a Broons type team, won the Cup, but has since faded. Credit to the Broons for keeping their 60-70’s style of hockey going successfully for so long, for my entire lifetime they have been like this.

I think 10 is upgradable in our top 4. Let’s get a strong defensive beast that adds to our PK as well. Major weakness right there is the PK. 10 needs to be taken down to 3rd pairing but with our non existing D pipeline, we have to do that by trade or FA.
