First save. Glove.
-
Greenway missed a chance to forecheck with a check. Hmmm.
-
I want this game. They need to send a message to the Rangers tonight. Muscle Weight
-
It does here. Until the next game.
-
Why would they do that by design? They thought Ullmark could develop, which he apparently did, but they couldn't keep him.
-
Linus Ullmark was there for 3 of those 6 seasons, and now he is a Vezina candidate. The Bruins defense and their two way system goes a long way.
-
Understand Greenway is not healthy, perhaps that was the reason for his play. So far we have not seen anything physical from him except that he screened a goalie to help us score once. Hoping Don G is right on him.

I go to games, and I watch games, and I follow the off season. I am still going to complain about it. Florida teams are set up in a huge melting pot of people from other states and countries. The have a large number of visiting fans for all sports. I understand the Canadian fans coming in, that is part of the market for Buffalo, always has been, and they are free to cheer for Canadian based teams if they wish too. Pittsburgh, Boston, NYI, NYR, NJD is another story. We need to get the season ticket base back up to help keep them out.
-
So if he projects to a Fedun, a Pysyk, or a Jokiharju then he plays in Rochester for a few years and is an injury call up. Hoping there is more to his game.
-
Not me. I go to about 4 to 6 games a season and I don't even live there. Could it be the historic 12 year drought?
-
These are also games that we should be trying to win to make the playoffs. The focus should remain playoffs and TEAM PLAY. The goaltending on this team is so poor that it makes his NHL debut tonight possible. We have Comrie coming off a few good games so he should be ready for tomorrow I assume? I’m rooting for Levi, wish him the best, excited to see him play, but not liking the situation at all. I will hate seeing and hearing 8,000 Ranger fans in our building too - hopefully that is not the case but UB is full of New Yorkers.

There is lack of veteran knowledge and experience on defense that should be addressed. If a Kyle retires, and/or if Zemgus leaves, that experience must by addressed. Same with Anderson retiring. Sure every player will be a year older, but the overall team age will be about the same with their absence. From what we saw of Greenway, they need to do more to improve the bottom 6. There is a thread that addresses defensive players that might meet our plans and needs.

It will be interesting to see if the Sabres play good two-way hockey in front of him. They need to play like they did against the Rangers and Isles , only score a few more goals. Can’t wait to see this game.
-
Agree. The other very common comment you hear is that they are ready to makes moves to take the next step. The moves are - defense and goaltending and some experience.
-
Hopes are extremely high. I would prefer he played a few games in Rochester first, but the circumstances are what they are.
-
UPL went on a good run after that vote of confidence. He gave up a bunch of goals but won sone big games and played a lot during the nice run. All this talk about Levi playing is expected. If he gets pounded then DG blew it, and if he wins then Levi is Donnie Edwards for the night.
-
What? Which? Wha?
-
Valid concerns and comments. Not even contrarian. KA walked up to DG and said "play the kid". Shades of ... vs.
-
Can he be Devon Eli? I always think of Eli, not Levi.
-
Flashback to 2008 - This is what my son said to me when I told him he earned the privilege of driving my pickup truck to school and to hockey practice afterwards.
-
But they must play hard to the end of the season, try to win every game and get every point to the end. The drafting slot is not important at this point, there will be a good players to choose from.
-
IF its the team's Masterton then perseverance and dedication are the keys - Tuch, Dahlin, Kyle, Tage, Andy. Boosh maybe, he played hurt a lot.
-
Fix thread title unless you went to tomorrows practice. LOL Love your updates @Brawndo

My Take on B&G Insights with Kevyn Adams - 03-28-23
Pimlach replied to Taro T's topic in The Aud Club
They don't have to copy any one team exactly, every situation is different. We happen to have few vets, and even less with playoff/Cup experience. Girgensons and Skinner are anomalies that happen to be on the same team. It seems only logical that a few key vets would help, but finding the right ones, at the right price is the key. Certainly Adams missed on the Stahl and Hall pick ups, but they played with the Jack/Sam core - the current Sabres Team is much different right now.
