I thought Comrie would get the call, but there is DG trying be "fair" in his mind. The Sabres better give UPL the same defensive effort that they gave Levi for two periods, only they need to do it all game. And UPL has to be careful with pucks, cover the puck if there are Flyers around, and control those massive rebounds. Stillman over Bryson is a good move, especially for this game.

He must have meant consistent "within" the game.

I get it. The tough part of all this is if he somehow doesn't beat out Comrie/UPL to start the season, AND we didn't make a trade to improve the goaltending, then we start with Comrie/UPL and call up Levi up as soon as he is ready. Which gets us to 3 goalies again. It will be interesting in Sabreland. The good news is the kid is signed up and ready to go.

Not bad, but I would like to see Levi play a bit more.

Wow. One game does not show us he is ready to be a #1 and play 55 games. Maybe he plays 6 of the next 8 and maintains the level he played at yesterday? That would help clarify the conversation on whether we add a goalie.

Bryson made a few egregious d-zone turnovers last night. I don’t get what they see. Sure, he plays the fast pace offensive style, but we need to be better in the d-zone and he is a liability.

He is already better than UPL and Comrie. You can see that right now. Can or should he jump to the NHL as a 1? Is that the right course? Now if they bring in another capable goalie maybe they go 1A/1B for awhile.

This guy will be in the NHL next year. I don’t see him going back to Juniors, can’t play in AHL, … Maybe Europe but probably a 3rd line guy next season.

Have you seen those guys fight?

Sure, he could beat out UPL and Comrie. But is that better than him playing 25-30 games in AHL, polishing his game, and then coming up mid season? He is still very young and he is going to eventually have a few rough patches. The euphoria around his debut is nice, and fun, but it’s one game.

Just play the same defensive game they played in the first 2 periods against the Rangers. Philly has way less fire power. Look to make smart stretch passes and quick breakouts. Philly cannot contain us again. Time to put Philly in their place. 6-2 Buffalo, doesn’t matter who the goalie is tonight. That what I want to see.

I hope the Levi’s can get season tickets.

Nothing to be happy about in the 3rd accept for Levi. He was great. Otherwise, Blew a lead and lost momentum. Let’s kick their Azz in OT.

I was surprised that the Jost line stayed out that long. They had an offensive possession and should have come off sooner IMHO. That goal was because they were tired. Not good when the Ramgers are on B2B. Now the PK must come up big.

I like that Levi catches and holds the puck. He slows the opponent down. Now, let’s get better at faceoffs and the two pieces will make an improvement in our defensive game.
