Who you pulling for, Hershey or Rochester?
-
Tkachuk coming up big again. Like him or not, he is a force out there. Reinhart with a pretty set up.
-
He called Sam Reinhart’s name. To step up.
-
Barkov is the definition of two-way player.
-
You start with 2525 and move up from there.

That’s way too much, even for a team with cap room and no prospects. I see him as a 3M$ guy, like Girgs.

Sabres Sign Defenseman Nikita Novikov to 3 Year ELC

Similar to the Scandella trade for a fourth. Hasty trade to get something done. where do you rank Novikov and Johnson on the depth chart today? -

A hasty deadline trade to get something (draft pick) for an asset (Montour) that did not want to be here. Krueger era and JBot firing drove away Eichel, Reinhart, Ullmark, Montour, Risto - none of them wanted to stay any longer. -
We already get a 2nd next year for Johnson. We can get 2nd for just Olofsson alone, probably more. I would package Olofsson for immediate help on the blue line if possible.

Shanny is running Hockey Ops, he decided Duby is gone and he probably discussed it with ownership. Yeah and keeping the fungus and the grubs under control. -
How to fix the All-star Game- International Play
Pimlach replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club
The important part of the All Star break is to get some rest during an 82 game season (with an additional 4 rounds of playoffs on top of it). Competitive tournaments with travel do not do that. The players union should say no to this. -
I just think he grew up physically and is playing in his prime right now. He is stronger and much more confident. They say defenseman take awhile, he is 29.

Hard not to be a fan favorite when you play hard, fight for your team, and make Rock/Pop records in the off season.
-
Cats take the lead.
-
Always good to see the man with the C get a goal in the playoffs. Barkov having a fine two way game.
-
Reinhart had an open shot on that PP but he passed off.
-
Terrible penalty call to put Florida down 2 skaters. Let them know it coach.

My wife wanted to know why all these “weird” teams are going for the Cup.
-
Teds team is promoted and doing well.

Grew up a Yankees fan. My Dad and many Uncles were all die hard Yankee fans. Then I added a NL team in the early 70’s, the Pittsburgh Pirates, because of the Robert Clemente & Willie Stargell era.

What about Minnesota? That market that the Stars came from? The top hockey market in the US, no? St Louis has a rabid fan base that will argue with you all day on that statement. Go to a Blues game and it is non stop noise, knowledgeable fans, and all games are at or near capacity. Look into how many NHL players are from the St Louis area and/or played youth hockey there. Remember the 2016 draft? Matthew Tkachuk (No. 6 - Calgary Flames), Clayton Keller (No. 7 - Arizona Coyotes), Logan Brown (No. 11 - Ottawa Senators), Luke Kunin (No. 15 - Minnesota Wild) and Trent Frederic (No. 28 - Boston Bruins) all are from St Louis. They know hockey there. Rangers and Chicago are original 6 and they do alright. Pittsburgh has a rabid fan base that even fills Buffalo's arena.
