  1. His Buffalo ties are strong with his wife's family in the area. But still, he could leave so maybe a promo of some kind is coming?
  2. He and Peca are doing great. Adams is developing coaches in Rochester too. Big loss, but that means he will learn a lot of new things from a pretty good program under a solid head coach. Someday Weber could be back. He is a real Sabre.
  3. They retained Kyle. You’re adding a scrappy center, keeping Jost and Krebs, adding Kulich, adding Rousek. What about Savoie ? With 3 or 4 adds who goes! Vinny, VO and who else? Nah. Risto brought more, Bergen was unproven.
  4. I turned it off before the Eichel interview. Vegas success started at the top with the ownership, hiring great hockey management, taking full advantage of the expansion draft, excellent coaching hires, and creating a place that players want to go to.
  5. It will be either Marchessault (original Kinight) or Eichel.
  6. Ok. Sure. Who is Buffalo over 53 years? Just want to know who to blame ?
  7. They found the puck in the net. 6-1 Vegas. The 3rd period is irrelevant. That’s the best way to win it for home fans. Party starting in Lost Wages.
  8. Hockey cheerleaders. Gotta love it.
  9. Yes, young guys like Barbashev, this could be 2 Cups for him. He appears to be one of those guy that are hard to play against, especially in the playoffs. Then you have Martinez, an old guy that comes up big too.
  10. Well, Eichel has played well. 4-1 now I see Vegas winning big at home
  11. I don't mind trimming and shaping bushes and shrubs. Lots of yardwork today.
  12. I have been too busy to watch much of this final. Hate seeing Vegas Eichel win.
  13. We drafted Housley, Cyr, and Andreychuck. Housley and Andreychuck made the HoF. Not sure what happened with the trades.
  14. I used to see Robey on the 69-70 Bison's roster but he actually played for the Ranger's Central Hockey League team. They sent him to Buffalo for the AHL playoffs and he got a few games in. He then played for the Sabres starting in their 2nd season and he became a fan favorite for his propensity to throw open ice hip checks. We later traded him in a package to the Canucks for Josh Guervremont.
  15. Brian McDonald is the obscure one from my hints. The last one that I have, that I hinted as a “popular Sabre”, is Mike Robitaille. Robey was added to the Bisons final roster for the playoffs in 1969-70, then he joined the Sabres a few years later I missed a few, like Schmautz and Mickey, on my original count ( should not have missed Larry). Thats 9 total. Al Hamilton is the only one to play in consecutive season for Bisons and then the Sabres.
  16. Correct. They match the third hint. Two good NHLers from the 6 team era that spent a brief time with the Bisons, and played for the Sabres in their later years. Marshall scored 20 for the first year Sabres. Yes to both. No, he was drafted in 70
  17. In addition to Crozier, Dryden, and Al Hamilton, There are 4 more Bison-Sabres. Hints One is a popular figure in Sabres history. One is an obscure player. Two were good NHL players that played for the Bisons briefly when they were young, and then played for the Sabres briefly when they were old.
  18. I can recall TV before channel 29. Commander Tom had the black and white Superman, that was big in the 60’s When Channel 29 came out they had Ultra Man, a Japanese superhero that never talked but he could fire laser beams out of his wrists. After that was Gillian’s Island reruns. Mary Ann wearing tiny shorts and halter tops. Whoa! Let’s push that homework out until after dinner please.
  19. Roger Crozier is another one. Al Hamilton is the most obvious one because he played for the Bisons in their last 2 seasons, and then for the Sabres in their first 2 seasons. Thats 3 total so far, there are a few more.
  20. He is one of them.
  21. I can think of 5 players that played for the Buffalo Bisons and the Buffalo Sabres? Name them (and no internet).
  22. It is very common to say learnt in the UK.
  23. Tom Webster is an interesting player, a one time Bruins prospect and the first player taken in the 1970 expansion draft, and was traded for Roger Crozier so he never played for the Sabres. He had one really good (30 goals and 67 points) season with the Red Wings, followed by an injury plagued season that saw him get shipped to the dreaded California Golden Seals. After that he was a star in the WHA, a league filled with many older NHL and AHL vets. Since you are a Webster fan, I am wondering what current NHL player you think he is similar to?
