He was terrible in Buffalo, he liked Ralph, and he quit. One of my least favorite Sabres ever.

Peter McNab - 6th round, 85 OA in 1972 954 games, 363 goals, 450 assist, and 813 Points. Unfortunately, most of this production was for the Bruins.

Dove? No, not that I recall. -

WOW! Wasn't expecting the Hawk. He took boxing lessons prior to the season to improve his fighting ability. Surprised someone with a lot of PIM would make the list.

Rammer was a stalwart IRON MAN, he is my first guess. Then I'll guess Hajt, and then Luce. All great hockey players.

No surprise. Most of us have seen Quinn for a full season in the NHL but have been limited to highlights of Kulich in the AHL or prior.

Seiling was a very good player with 6 straight 19+ goal seasons, including a 30 goal season, while playing mostly in a checking role. As a guitarist he could really rock too. -
Kulich being compared to Kotalik concerns me. All the talk about him on this board has me thinking he will be a much more consistent player and a potential 30 goal scorer. What makes me excited about Peterka is his play in playoffs and tournaments. A player that plays big when it counts is always a nice asset. Quinn has showed he can finish and his 2-way game steadily improved as the season went on. He needs to get stronger as you said. T 6'1" 185 he has the frame to work with. Savoie being likened to Ennis is also startling, in a bad way. Other than height I am expecting Savoie to be two levels above Ennis, I player I never cared for to much.

Tage will score a lot more goals before this is over. Cozens has showed incredible spunk (grit) and leadership. More than most 21 year old players and by a wide margin. Cozens carried two rookies last year, when their minutes were sheltered he continue to play good hockey on other lines and in any situation. Cozens' game is more than offensive production.

Wow. This projections disappointment across the board. Especially Savoie. If true, why is KA so reluctant to trade? I suspect that KA’s analytics guys are projecting much more.

Well we debated the defense a lot last season and you consistently commented on no need for 4D help but ok. You are on board to it now. If this team misses playoffs again our fans will be extremely disappointed. If it is because of goaltending again I will blow a gasket. I just can’t trust a plan that entails going with a rookie backed by UPL/Comrie when we are sitting on so many assets.

There is no easy solution. My point is not many fans in the US watch the Stanley Cup playoffs. Once their team is out, they switch to baseball. I was in Boston a few weeks ago and with the Bruins done they were focused on the Sox. In St Louis, Blues out, it was all Cardinals. In Buffalo with no MLB, lots of people were following the SC. SC playoff hockey is far better than regular season and very few watch it compared to the Super Bowl and World Series. This a problem that the NHL faces.

The bold text is a major shift for you @JohnC. Last season you were adamant about Joki being a solid 4D and there was no need to upgrade. Now you want to add a 4D and a 5/6 D as well. What changed for you? Ryan Johnson might get a look at some point but we should not count on him to help us this season. I think that Adam’s should not neglect goaltending again. He should not go with Levi and UPL/Comrie. Which teams are we going to pass to get into the top 8 in the conference or top 3 in the division? He should not gamble on a rookie to two boarder-line backups. Adam’s has prospects that he can never fully utilize. It’s time to make a few hockey trades and go for it.

Agree here. My add, was for a bottom 6 center that wins face-offs, plays an effective PK, and provides some grit. That ship has sailed with KO, ZG, and Rousek all retained and Jost likely retained as well. Adding two vet defenseman would be good so we can drop Bryson and Clague and roster 8 solid defensemen.

The best hockey that the NHL has to offer, the Stanley Cup playoffs, is hardly watched in the US because of baseball season. Start earlier, end sooner.

I actually enjoy these special games and events. At the top of my list is Hockey Fights Cancer, which I have several personal reasons for supporting. Second on my list are veterans. They should be acknowledged for their sacrifices. People might be surprised how poor the treatment for injured vets can be. Anyway, these are the two special nights I hope they retain All the other “community” stuff ( LGBTQ+, Native American, African American, St Pats, or whatever), is well intended but I agree with the comments that less is more. The concept of America was (and still is) to unite multi-cultural people as one nation. Marginalizing minorities is wrong, and while special nights celebrating special groups might raise awareness, it is not really uniting anything either. Hence this whole discussion. -
Boomers, advocates (?), corporations, “enlightened in society”? I truly do not understand what your message is here and if I did I would probably laugh about it rather than argue with it. I prefer we stick to hockey unless a thread is designated as an off topic thread. In that case I can avoid it if I wish.

You are saying you need at least average or slightly above average goaltending if you have great a great defensive team - that is not Comrie, UPL and Anderson. They aren't going to keep you in it. Anderson cannot play enough games and UPL/Comrie could get leaky and put you way behind early, forcing you out of your defensive game. -

He looks at benefit and term. He favors decisions that benefit for the long term. That makes sense to me. -

Look at his career stats. He is a consistent 30+ goal scorer when healthy and playing a full season.
