  1. He fits the 6/7 role and can plug holes up the roster if needed. A savvy vet insurance guy - I hope he provides the James Partrick kind of help they need back there. With Anderson gone it appears Adams found another vet presence for the group. One year and we see about next year.
  2. He outhit any of our current defenseman by 2:1. I just hope he remains physical. I always wondered why he played so edgy for a 5'11" 190 lb defenseman, but on the Bruins everyone has everyone else's back. I like the term and the dollars. Good guy to have, especially on the PK.
  3. He did a good job last season and he fits in with the team but getting better means replacing some players. I do think he could be back. Would make a good 13/14 forward.
  4. True, but when he played in 5v5 situations, the puck went into our net 23 more times than it went into their net. I prefer we move on from him and add a steady two way forward or help on the blue line. Alone he may not get much, maybe we can package him an add a useful player that helps fill the gaps we have today.
  5. Also interesting counter to Lee I must be lucky. Service probably varies by region.
  6. Excellent. thought provoking. The irony is that Lee is vilified today.
  7. Why? It’s a vacuum that sucks up grass and leaves. Why is that complicated or bad?
  8. I broke a guitar string yesterday, had no time to go to a music store …. Amazon had 3 sets of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky’s at my door by noon today. I am still amazed at their execution. Never had a problem.
  9. I need a full knee replacement soon and yesterday I struggled just to golf 18 holes, that was with a cart. I had a terrible score. You are very fortunate.
  10. But when Max Domi gets a penalty he will physically be too close to Rob Ray. Not good.
  11. Isn't Wheeler a bit of a diva though, and does he have a 200 foot game?
  12. Yes, Quinn on IR could change things. I do not want to keep VO, even with Quinn out.
  13. pffft ... What about me? I am the guy to take this team to the promise land. Give me 3 or 4 moves and we are drinking from the cup. @Taro T is pretty sharp but I created him in my image. First move is @PASabreFan gets Paul Wieland's old job, that will re-invigorate the market. I know lots of players that want to shoot at him when he plays goalie in my re-established free Open Practice for the kids. Second move, I am trading @tom webster for a goalie.
  14. The first thing I thought of was how this correlates to VO. Smith is 32, VO is 27 - that might be all we have to plead a case that VO is worth more than a 3rd. Thanks a lot Pittsburgh.
  15. Seriously, Adams just re-signed KO, ZG, and he said Jost is next. Bringing in guys Accari and Engvall would have been good and something I have wanted (adds experience, two-way play, and grit) but there looks to be no more room, even if you move on from forwards like VO and VH. Are they going to look closely at Kulich, Rousek and Savoie, or are they going to stockpile bottom 6 forwards? We need to add defensive depth and a goalie, same as we talked about for quite awhile.
  16. Obsession with wood. heh heh
  17. Gibberish. There is so much here that is skewed that I think you come here to troll. You listen to “other people on Podcasts”, that’s good to know.
  18. Marchand is 5’9” and 176. He seems to play with confidence.
  19. Good interview. Polite and confident young man. Let’s not forget he is 18. No way this kid stays at 5’10” either. He is going to grow much more by 20-21.
  20. Why are you insisting on rushing Rosen? He is still not strong enough and he will get stomped in the NHL. Comparing Rosen to Quinn: Rosen is more than a full year younger, he is 2 inches shorter, he is at least 15 pounds lighter, he does not have an NHL 2-way game - he is not ready. He needs another year in the AHL at least. Kulich will get a good look in camp and so will Rousek and Savoie. With Quinn now injured and out for awhile one of them will get a much longer look. Thinking that these Rochester players like Rosen and Kulich are going to replace Krebs and Mitts and improve the team THIS YEAR is not reality. Who did Granato go to for first line support when Tage was hurt? Answer: Mitts Who did Granato give key shut down responsibilities to as the season went on? Answer: Krebs
  21. Why is Pesce worth 2 firsts ? Is he that good or is this a Sabrespace reaction?
  22. Opportunity to show that they can play. That can take some time. They all need opportunities. Look at Tage and Mitts and the time and patience it took to develop them. There were times many here, and across the league, thought they weren’t much.
  23. I like the pick. Everything says good value at 13 KA has about 6 forward blocking him. Time to make a trade soon to help areas in need today.
  24. I cant say I know much about Pesce, I have no idea if he had a down season or not, but your take on him is different from all others I have read here. He is 28, that is prime age for a defensemen and unlike most forwards, defenseman do not drop off in their early 30's.
  25. Hall got an $8M salary, a NMC, and he ended up with the Bruins - a real Cup contender. He leveraged his relationship with Krueger. He and his agent cannot be blamed for smart business, but I blame Hall for the very poor effort in his time here. He knew once Krueger got fired that all he had to do was float until the trade deadline, and he did. He even had Eichel and Reinhart on the team and he did nothing. His scored just 2 goals in in 37 games and was a shameful -21.
