Seems like a good cloudy day, Saturday afternoon event. Hope the Sabres show up and get another win. Still missing my Bills in the AFCCG. Meh. I don’t see a Sabres playoff run at this point, would like to see decent hockey though.

Dwelling on this doesn’t help anything. All the responsible parties are long gone. Need to move forward.

The extension is the bad look but I agree they won’t fired him. That will happen after we waste next year.

Playing that was fun. Been a long time. The singer was one of a kind.

This Peca thing is all wrong. Peca is better off working for Laviolette than for DG. He already knows what DG teaches, and what he doesn’t. Seeing Laviolette put his system in, in one off-season (like normal), is a great experience for him. If you think Peca is a good HC candidate someday then be happy for him now. He is working with a proven Cup winning coach.

Why stop there and settle for Rousek ?

Yes. Think about the Drury/Briere teams. They were made up of Sabre developed prospect PLUS the right veterans OBTAINED IN TRADE or FA - Drury, Briere, Teppo, Grier, were all added to home grown prospects. We had an emerging NHL goalie, and lots of roll players. Now, for Adams to do something like this means he has to trade part of the current group, plus some prospects and picks. He has not shown inclination or ability to make a hockey trade (not talking trade deadline dumps and tweaks) that make big positive impacts.

Good question. A saw about half the game before a zonked out. Tage was playing determined hockey, he was creating chances , but it sure seems like whoever picked the stars mistook 77 and 72.

The problem here is hungry vets don’t sign in Buffalo.

I feel asleep watching during the 2nd and woke up to see it tied at 3-3, put myself to bed and woke to a 5-3 win. Looks like a big game from 77 and 22. Also nice to see contributions from 89 and 24. Go Sabres. I’ll take the 2 points.

We are playing defense in our zone wrong. Standing there giving the shooter time and space while they try to block a shot. Too passive

Stay the course with most of the players but not with the GM and HC. I prefer replacing at the GM level, but at a minimum , if TP keeps Adams then he must be directed to find a HC that has had recent NHL success, and then work with that coach to fix the roster. A serious set of goals should be set within a short time frame, and review. Certain front office salaries get tied to the goals.

Oh I will remember this. I submit I knew this before KA did. Nothing to do with Benson, but remember when the season started and the bottom 6 was not good enough. Now at mid season and the top 6 is actually worse when you factor in their effort and all their errors.
