  1. Combination of 1 and 2.
  2. None of the above. 12 goals, 26 points. Good two way game. 4th line
  3. Olofsson would be the finisher in this case.
  4. I have him in between 50 and 70 points. I just don’t know what line he fits on, probably a 3C, but maybe a winger on the second line, and we know he produced centering the 1st line … good player to have around. He is starting to use his size along with his skill, could be he best season ever coming. Looking forward to watching him.
  5. A little of each, there are so many it only makes sense. Back when malls were popular a lot of them stayed then shopped the next day.
  6. I want to add that he is going to be a steady 20-25 goal guy at some point in his career.
  7. Anytime the Sabres are good, very good, or scary good the crowd attendance is never a problem. The best it will ever be is about 25-30% Leaf’s/Canadian fans if the STH’s would not use these games to recoup costs. For that to happen the team has to be exciting and legit.
  8. Kroeger Kaleido's - The Matt Ellis of fake Oreo Cookies
  9. Ford Escort - the Matt Ellis of American cars.
  10. He had a good Corsi in his limited games for us but fans here as SS don't seem to like him. He was willing to fight for the team, and losing to Jeannot is what happens to pretty much everyone who tangle with him. He will start the season at 7D or 8D and he will see action. He could be moved at the trade deadline if Ryan Johnson surprises us and is ready quickly.
  11. Why do you say Buffalo cannot support 2 Pro teams?
  12. Looking at the young talent and the overall talent I rate it: Buffalo, then Ottawa, then Detroit. Detroit has a more veteran mix, Buffalo the youngest. The Sabres Achilles heel has been goaltending. Maybe Levi can change that? If not, this could a year that Ottawa passes Buffalo. The Sabres are putting a lot on a rookie goaltender.
  13. It is because none of our 7/8/9 are good hopeful NHL players. Can’t wait until we see Ryan Johnson and Novikov move up the depth chart. Players we have hope for that can push the people above them.
  14. And that is not solely because he owns an original 6 team, it’s more abut his business acumen and negotiation skills.
  15. Dahlin, Muel, Power, Clifton, E Johnson and Joker => ok. 6/7/8 of Stillman/Bryson/Clague => Yuck. R Johnson will eventually see NHL ice given this situation.
  16. Others here showed fancy analytical data indicating Boosh was our worst defender last season. I sure did not see that on the ice. I will not like it if Bryson gets 20 games.
  17. The 70’s Sabres quite often came into a Buffalo restaurant that I worked at, they came after Sunday home games which ended at about 9:30 back then. They would get there in a big group, dressed in ties and jackets, by about 11:00, and very often with wives. I had a few conversations with Gilbert and I had a beer with him once. He was still very shy way back then, and kind, and polite. Good sense of humor despite the language barrier. His wife was very pretty too.
  18. So how does this make Jacobs a powerful. Does he get two votes for original 6? A third vote for having a popular team? This is a nonsense conversation. Jacobs might be influential, but not for these reasons.
  19. I think he gets better. 16 goals and 30 apples with better and stronger play than last season.
  20. He is small and weak. He should not make the roster if we are to take a significant step forward.
  21. See the bold. My interpretation of that snippet from his article was that they couldn’t pull off the ambitious plan without her energy and leadership. I do not subscribe to the Athletic, the entire article was not posted, and I do not follow Graham. I do not know what he implied, but that little portion provided did not read as violent from my perspective.
  22. He make the team and get a look, then play everywhere else that he can for awhile. Next year is his year.
  23. He is a stud and seems to be getting better.
  24. Nothing violent here, just the truth without concern for how it will be taken. There certainly were other options but the way he describes it is accurate.
