Yes. I love to tinker with things.

No problem. I’m not up on all the social media trends either so I can see the opportunity for misunderstanding here is higher than in normal conversations. Texting, email, forums - none of it can replace people talking. So much communication is non verbal. More emojis are needed (I kid). I assumed he would have known my ‘relax’ was a calming relax, not a sarcastic or aggressive relax. You say PA bucks the trends, I call it contrarian points of view, which I welcome. We need that.

Jacque Plante would be loving this.

What are the 2023/24 Sabres' internal expectations
Pimlach replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
We will see. He shows a lot of faith in his players so let’s see if they come through. -
My 11th pic from the most recent. Sometimes when you have ‘nothing to do’ you just need to go out and let it flow. So, I took the wife downtown. At Canalside we took a Buffalo River History tour boat ride, which was excellent. Then we walked around exploring on a gorgeous day. Then a cocktail at the Marriott 7th floor which has a great view of downtown. Then I randomly saw my cousin in the lounge and went with him and his gf to watch Jr Sabres on 6th floor. Turned out to be a great day. Harbor Center and Canalside have really helped downtown Buffalo which has never been nicer in my lifetime. This shot was taken as we were walking to the Marriott.

Keeping in the spirit of the thread. The 11th photo from the beginning of the roll. I was asked if I could fix someone’s sump pump.

That big glass thing in front of the tv was known as a cathode-ray tube (crt). It was every fathers nightmare when the tv repair man was called. If the CRT was bad you might as well buy a brand new TV.

Saying “relax” is fine and was meant as constructive advice. This is a Buffalo Sabres hockey fan forum. It has diverse topics related to Buffalo Sabres hockey. If someone does not like a thread topic, even if it’s related to Buffalo Sabres hockey, then their best course is not to participate in it, as opposed to banishing the topic to a sub forum. @PASabreFanis not fragile, he gets it. He seems to be more than capable of handling himself in this forum too.

No support from me on this. It’s is just your off-season doldrums. Season over and we just had the draft, the prospect camp, and the prospect challenge games. Relax @PASabreFan

Buffalo, New York, Is the Nicest Place in America
Pimlach replied to Zamboni's topic in The Aud Club
It’s a very nice mid sized city in a lot of ways. Good people with a sense of history, community, and pride. I really like Buffalo. -
Projecting our evolving forward group beyond this coming season.

Is Poltapov still in the mix further down the road? -
I thought he was just taking a break during the off season. ?

Goaltending: 1. No 2. Comrie 3. Yes 4. No Defense: 1. Clifton 2. 8D 3. Bryson will probably beat Clague for 8 4. They will go with who works best regardless of handedness Forwards: 1. Greenway - 3rd line if he gets in shape and plays hard, Mitts - 2nd line winger with Quinn out, Krebs - 3C with Mitts moved up, VO - probably 3rd line if he put it all together 2. carry 13 forwards because Rochester has players that do not have to clear waivers 3. Rousek - should be 13th forward with Quinn out, Kulich could be 13th forward or maybe higher, Benson to WHL, Savoie injured and then TBD, Rosen goes back to Rochester

Quinn out, Savioe out, maybe more to come. Kozak could make the team as a bottom 6/spare part but that is more likely a down the road guy. Rousek, Biro, and Murray could get a shot first.

Another character from the 70's. Not a natural fighter but he took boxing lessons to help bring more "punch" to the team. Eddie Shack, an even bigger character, was #23 before The Hawk, although Rene Robert (traded Shack to get him) very briefly wore Shack's 23.
-
I am surprised you say that given Kulich's season in Rochester at 18. Do you mean better right now, or projected?

VP selection is very often decided by factors other than who is the “best qualified candidate” and often it is to appeal to a certain group of voters that might not otherwise be drawn to the ticket. I recently learned how and why Roosevelt picked Harry Truman, a person he never knew, to be his last VP running mate, even though he had a VP from prior terms. And of course, as I looked deeper into it, I find there are several interpretations of this story.

Why think the worst? Because they fired him for it. From the limited info in the news article apparently more people did not like it. I coached sports for many years, managed people for many decades - never felt I needed pictures of their friends and family to get to know them. Talking to them in an open and honest manner - yes. Setting rules and standards - yes. Looking at pictures of their spouse and kids is not a need, and it comes well after the relationship is established. Then again, I keep learning how are different things are today.

He wanted to see pictures from their phones? Is that creepy or what? Boundaries?

Bills and Allen looked like a different team this week. The preseason rust is knocked off. I just hope they keep it going and peak at the right time.
