  1. I have listened to Boston play-by-play a lot since 2012. I spent a lot of time, and a lot of hotel nights, doing business in New England. Watch a ton of Bruins games. This is sad for me to hear.
  2. Only if it’s best for him. I do not want him to be a spare forward and sit out games.
  3. Could be. True, but Martin will always be known as 7. Dudley was a 9, who also wore 17.
  4. Good evening Teamates, Punch checking in. I missed the first period but ready to go. Bahston feed on ESPN+. They lost Bergeron but Lucic is back. 😂
  5. It is early but you are correct - and the final game of the season is at Miami which is an advantage for them. Just play them one at a time and peak late in the season.
  6. That 0-20 in the 70's weighs on us Boomers. We can never beat them enough in my opinion, but we ruined the fun for the Shula/Marino era Dolphins who thought they had a dynasty started until Jim Kelly came to Buffalo. We had a far better team in every aspect of the game.
  7. Actually, Savoie was looking more ready before his injury.
  8. Bills played another great game. Only smudge is some short yardage play calls and/or execution. Otherwise fantastic. We have a new playmaker on D with Bernard. The OL dominated a tough DL.
  9. I watched Bills on the big screen and the Sabres with no volume on the iPad. I really didn’t pay much attention. Glad to see hockey again and to see a good showing by a youthful lineup.
  10. … a three hour tour.
  11. I saw Peter Gabriel at KeyBank on Friday night. Great show. Fantastic artist.
  12. Luce was a really good player, one of all time favorite Sabres. He was drafted in 1966, which was in the 6 team league. He went in the 3rd round, 14th overall. For that draft class he is second in games played (894), first in goals (225) and second in points (553). He was fabulous in the face of circle, on the PK, and as a two way center that could truly shut down the opposition. The crowd at the Aud really appreciated him too. I believe he is still in the Buffalo area.
  13. In coming years he going to get even stronger, hitting him is going to be like running into a slab of marble. I think he is ahead of Rosen, who also developed physically in the off season, which is very encouraging. I think Kulich can jump over Rousek if he shows enough. If not, then he is the first call up.
  14. Yes, took a puck in the wrist/hand, he had his glove on. I heard on WGR Radio 55 that he is ok and was fine in the locker room.
  15. It’s Dick
  16. I like this kid already.

John Sabastian. Have not heard that tune in decades.
  18. Proximity to Canada helps in Buffalo's uniqueness. How many cities are boarder cities and near such a cool part of Canada? Today I drove to the Falls, toured both sides. Then went to Niagara on the Lake and got my steps in walking their lovely streets on another gorgeous day September day. I had several shop owners comment positively on my Bills cap, and we also talked Sabres. I even met some Canadian Leaf Haters. I had a very nice dining experience there, all with a European style. I don't pay attention to nicest city, worst city, best city stuff. Buffalo is a fine city - it has world class architecture, diverse people, great food, and close proximity to Lake Erie, Niagara River and Falls, Lake Ontario, Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier of NYS. Plus it boarders a very cool part of Canada and that adds another flavor to living there.
  19. or Brian "Spinner" Spencer.
  20. She is a young lady with extraordinary balance, especially in heels.
  21. I think we will see if his trade deadline moves bear fruit very soon. Greenway should be healthy and ready to contribute, Stillman may yet be a solid 6/7 defender. They still could be very good moves. Clearly, Adams does not like to rent players and he believes in building from within. That is ok right now. We have had some recent threads on how Adams will handle all the prospects in the near future. It is reasonable to think that some of them will be good NHL players, some will be moved and will be good somewhere else, and some will not be good NHL players. He seems unwilling at this time to make that determination, which is fine for me because they are all very young and the team is improving. Many of the core players have not even reached their peak yet. I will evaluate his results, not his style points. This is a pivotal year for him as a GM. Playoffs and competing to win every night is the expectation.
  22. Yes. I love to tinker with things.
