Monday will feel like a road game. Granato should play UPL/Comrie vs Isles and save Levi for the division games vs Montreal and Ottawa.

Benson had a very rough 4th game versus Calgary. It was the first time so far that he looked out if place. He earned his -3 for sure. With VO falling behind Jost, Benson will still play. Then we decide after 9 games if he sticks.

He looks behind the play a lot and he is much less physical than usual.

Blech. Not authentic and poor quality IMO. Dirty kitchen.

There in lies the rub. Levi is by far the best of the 3 goalies. Could he have benefited from a month or two in the AHL? Sure. Of course. Are we going with UPL and Comrie? If yes, we are bottom feeders again. Are we trying to win and make the playoffs? That answer should be “yes”. How many off seasons wasted by not bringing in a NHL goalie? Oh, but Adams brought Tokarski back again, that’s right.

Before suggesting to send him down, let’s play the other goalies and see what they do? I put my money on Levi as the best of the 3.

Not kidding. I will add that Peterka was also good. Levi made at least 6 huge saves at key times to keep us in it. Who plays a rookie 4 straight? Why is he playing tonight?

Levi was the best player on the team tonight. But they can’t play him 4 straight.

True, but if we lose with Levi tonight it hardly matters. It sucks that they played him all 4 of 4. It’s not a pace he can keep.

The power play sucks tonight

The crowd is also trying to coach this team with their knowledge of the game. The Sabres need to be better in their building. This should be a win tonight.
