So you meant WHL then?

Why are we talking about waiving and trading UPL right now? We still don't know what we have. When you have 3 goalies you don't have a goalie. Pre-season was not enough to sort it all out. In our case we have a rookie in the mix. A real NHL rookie goalie, how many of them step in and do great with no other professional experience? I suspect we will rotate the 3, with Levi getting the majority of the work unless someone else is playing better. Comrie should play again tonight. I would go back to Levi in Ottawa because the game is very important, but if he is hurt then you go with UPL or Comrie. It will take some time to sort this out. UPL will get his chances and when he does he was to earn his next start, they all do. So we get to do this 3 goalie thing and work tirelessly to improve our team defense (an absolute must), and still score enough to be in playoff contention. This is going to be a great hockey season.

First of all the AHL is not lower competition for Savoie, lets see him compete down there and earn a callup. I thought you wanted trades to bring in vets to help us make the playoffs? Now you want to sink or swim with two under 20 rookies? Which one is it?

Stunning is a good word for it. Look at the offense versus Miami and then all the games since. They are getting worse every week. That is two losses to NFL bottom feeders. The offense is also pretty healthy. Looking like the coaches have lost the players. Bench Davis and Knox and play whoever can contribute.

They play on the checking line and on the PK. You can look up their stats yourself. They lead in their way, they are not going to do what Johnson did publicly, it’s not their nature and the reality is they don’t have the same experience as Johnson to even say that. Johnson is new, he can shake things up and still carry himself. The more leaders that emerge the better the team will get. What Johnson did is not a signal to call out the few vets we have. If you don’t understand that point then I can’t help you.

And then he can go on to win the Vezina and a Stanley Cup. It’s happened before.

Yes it does. I spelled it out for you. Focus on the bold. He has a Stanley Cup Ring. No one else does. He went through the rebuild in Colorado, he went from last place to a Stanley Cup win. He is more than qualified to speak up and was probably expected to. The newcomer wants to do it again, in Buffalo this time. He still has fire in him.

I have heard good things about Memphis BBQ, just down the big river from St Lou.

I think Allen is hurt again. Today he was never comfortable because the OL pass protection was poor, and he got out of the pocket a lot. The have cut back his running, he is running at 1/3rd the rate of last season at this point. After Diggs, there is Davis and Knox - and they have been disappointing and unreliable. After that is Kincaid, Sherfield, Shakir, and Harty. Kincaid has good potential, the others can contribute but they play at the journeyman level. The defense is what surprised me. This was a very bad Pats* offense going into the game, averaging only 12 point per game. Even with all the injuries (Tre, Milano, Jones, Oliver) we should have been better.

The game was horribly officiated, much to the benefit of NE. Still, the Bills offense was "not prepared" for the 3rd week in a row. They did not score a TD in the first half. They cannot execute consistently. They clearly are making Allen stop running and trying to get more people involved but it seems the offense has a lot of mediocre talent after Diggs. There are no playmakers besides Allen/Diggs. Knox with another big drop, Davis invisible again, the OL was terrible in pass blocking. Something is wrong. Defensively, we were absolutely terrible on the first drive and on the last drive. In between they were simply inconsistent against a team that averaged about 12 points per game. Make no mistake, NE has terrible offense and a terrible QB, but not today. At least we can say "no Tre, no Milano, no Oliver, no Jones" but still, we have enough horses to beat this team that was literally circling the drain up until today. MCDermott and Dorsey have to be better. They have a tough game on Thursday with a short week. Thankful that Tampa will not have too much time to prepare, Bellicheck revealed a lot of warts today. This loss puts us two behind Miami, and that is 3 straight really lousy games, and we are looking more like a Wild Card with each passing week.
