The prior core (ROR, Eichel, Reinhart) all managed to leave. It will happen again with Dahlin and Thompson and others too. Adam’s tried to overcome the “Buffalo is a bad destination “ problem but he made it worse by not convincing Terry to let Eichel have the surgery, and by not extending Reinhart and a few others. His concept of stockpiling picks, then draft and develop with “no blockers”, has failed. Most of his young players have regressed while playing in a losing environment.

Adam’s seems desperate for Levi to be great, because Reinhart is.

UPL is the least of the problems with this roster. His worst games have been same games when the five players in front of him get dominated. Watched Levi versus the Kraken on Monday and he did not look NHL ready. Poor rebound control, net front traffic forces him deep into the crease leaving open spots to shoot at given small size.

Why? Because winning breeds winning. Why do they have to stay at rock bottom? How is that going to help the players we think can be saved and can help in the future? I want Levi supported properly because he might be part of the future. People have been saying all these things in bold for too many years. All it does is add to the losing culture. I know they are too far out of it to make the playoffs. That is not happening. But why do we need to crash and burn?

I think we all know the kid can’t save us. In just hope he is supported and the team stops regressing.

I was thinking it was tonight, this is timely info. I will finish my chores, then do my work out, and then watch the game. I hope they play hard in front of Levi.

A lot of Beer leagues are notoriously rough. There are always more that a few guys in them that can't play hockey at all, that want the enforcer role, or that deliver late checks in a no-check league. I've seen lots of injuries in these "leagues".

There should be nothing to correlate between Sabres and Bills wins and losses. I do have one superstition though. Once a Bills game starts I will not look at anything Sabres, no posting here, no checking scores, no talking about them. The Bills get all my attention. This is coming from a long time Buffalo hockey fanatic. I wasn't always like this, but I don't want to taint the Bills experience with Sabres. I believed in the concept of One Buffalo before PSE came up with it. But it goes far beyond sports teams and more to the community. Once a West Sider, always a West Sider.
