  1. Injuries have prevented him from seeing the pressbox. We will see what happens.
  2. Benson ranks top 9 including Quinn in the list.
  3. I would want Greenway before Benson. When Greenway is going he will surpass some of the others on the list. But I would take Benson next, over the remainder of the group. Greenway Greenway.
  4. Oh, you want me to feed the beast.
  5. Well, you may be right. I am not real sure how to read the 4 years vs 5 years but he is under 160 games in 4 seasons.
  6. I just checked your post and looked up his stats. What I thought was 150 games is 160. I am glad you might be correct here ... now how to interpret the 4 years? Could this be another reason to play 11-7? Are they thinking of reducing his games?
  7. Interesting find. I looked it up and found this: a skater who signs his entry-level contract at 18 will become exempt after playing 160 NHL games, or after five seasons (whichever comes first). If an 18- or 19-year-old plays 11 NHL games in an NHL season, the waiver exemption is reduced to four years for goalies and four years for skaters. He has played 152 games in 4 years. His first season he might have been 20 (January birthday) and he played only 4 games for Vegas. Looks like he could be Rochester bound?
  8. The very next post after your first one in this thread. The poster told you that in the form of a rhetorical question. I mentioned this same thing last week in another post as well. It is common knowledge. Why else would he not be in Rochester? So we bench Krebs, now who is the 4C? Don't say Girgs. Don't say Biro. Don't say Jost, he is the 3C for now. Maybe Kulich gets a look at some point but do we really want him in Krebs role on the checking line with KO and Girgs? That answer is no. Maybe Kulich can center the 3rd line when at some point and Jost takes the 4th. We need Adams to trade for a real NHL center that has a proven checking line pedigree, meaning strong defensively, relentless 20o foot game, can win draws, can help on the PK, and chips in a bit on offense. We need that player right now.
  9. Again. You have been told this already in this thread and in another thread. Sending him down requires he clears waivers. He will be picked up by a bottom feeder that can spend time developing him. You are giving away an asset that you might be able to include in a package as part of a trade. Get it? His shot is really weak too. I see most of his shot attempts fail to get to the net. Right now he looks like a AHL to me.
  10. I'll sum up the situation at forward in the off season. It looked on the surface like low expectations, but it really is our GM being overly comfortable and confident in his players. He thinks more of them than they consistently show on the ice. Krebs would have played in the AHL last year if we hade a deeper lineup. He might still be down there and knocking on the door for a shot if they had done more to improve over the past two years.
  11. Laviolette coaches the Rangers
  12. There is more to the story.
  13. Fishing would be fun to take up. In addition to travel, I prefer this: and this:
  14. I know you are a retired guy like myself so I can say this with experience. I am a sucker for pretty ladies but I keep it in perspective. The young ladies that wear that kind of lipstick and do the botox thing are probably not interested in you either. Yes its a newer trend, but I see older women doing it to.
  15. I think the Bills can beat the Eagles on Sunday. Hoping the offense continues to find its groove. More worried about all the injuries on defense right now. Philly has a physical team, even on offense and at QB.
  16. The Bar Bill on Main in Williamsville is not quite at the level of the original in East Aurora.
  17. Why would a life long WNYer think this? I get the food and restaurants. But what do you have against AKG and the Darwin Martin House?
  18. Grandma Mora’s? I heard that was good.
  19. Why are you tangled up with Promo? He is happy he found something else to complain about.
  20. Same thing was said about Power - last year, not this year. Ryan Johnson is looking good, lets not ruin him with hype and unrealistic expectations. All these kids have ups and downs, even the vets do. If you play enough minutes on defense in the NHL you will get beat and you will make some errors. If you have analytics that show when Clifton and E Johnson play together it spells disaster can you share them?
  21. Seems like a good young man. Keep working kid.
  22. Pretty much my thoughts. On the bottom 6 the only guy consistently skating and hustling and providing effort is Girgs, and he is limited. Would love to add a another Greenway type of forward or two (a center). We missed that opportunity in the off season and we need that now. I think that the current 7 on defense are better than what we have had in a long time. The Johnson's are helping. The Goalies are not our biggest problem so far. Levi getting more games in Rochester is an opportunity for him, not a bad thing. Not sure Kulich /Rosen will help but VO, KO and Krebsie are not helping either. Cozens is in a slump and needs to work himself out of it. Getting rid of the shield might help. Get Tage back, then Quinn back, and we might have something if we can hold together and stay in the race for the next 2 months. Their play at home, and the home record, is a concern.
  23. Yes, and on the bad rebound there was a defenseman there to clean it up but he didn't.
