  1. The company I retired from gave me 0 days of paternity leave in 1987 when my first child was born. They gave me 0 days of personal time. They had a policy that vacation was taken in one week segments, and scheduled at least one month prior, with pre approval required. This is one of the great Fortune 100 great companies in the world btw. These ridiculous and stringent rules gradually went away and improved greatly in the 90โ€™s and over time. By the time I retired, all vacation and personal time is accrued weekly, banked for future use, and could be taken at anytime, any way, without pre approval. Maternity and paternity leave is 12 weeks.
  2. Whatโ€™s not to like about this kid? Student athlete that got his degree and took a steady path to the NHL. Good skater and passer. Plays with his head up and he sees whatโ€™s happening. Four years in ncaa helped mature him. My old school thinking said leave him Rochester for a year, and on some teams that might have been his reality. But he can play and he will get better as he matures.
  3. Yes. She has had rough go and is a cancer survivor. Tage was being there for her.
  4. There is time to get in it but it will take a substantial winning streak. Letโ€™s start tonight. We need to score early and often. This is B2B for Buffalo.
  5. All true. Pat is not perfect. Terry was in his big organization phase and surrounded by โ€œexpertsโ€. Why hire a VPOHO in the first place if others were allowed to usurp his wishes. Terry is at the core of the problem, as usual. You see where Briere picked to go.
  6. I agree that he is not a hockey exec. But Terry is central to his leaving abruptly.
  7. You are not wrong, he is not slow. Long strides, long reach, able to shield with his body, great hands, amazing shot - he should be on the 3v3. He is not quite right this season, but it would be fireable to not play him in 3v3.
  8. Appert now is 1-0, and has the Sabres highest winning percentage of any coach in Sabres history.
  9. It will take an epic 3 game winning streak for that to happen
  10. he won a puck battle to set up the winner, right?
  11. I would like to say well done. Happy they got it done. Good for the fans. Nice work by Appert in his NHL debut. Columbus goalie was phenomenal. The Sabres should have had 6 or more tonight.
  12. Letโ€™s not forget CBJ played an OT game last night. We should be dominating. Someone on the Sabres needs to step up.
  13. Quinn-Cozens-Peterka is our first line right now. The coaches might not admit that but the are.
  14. Really, really, really dumb penalty Krebs. Someone sit him.
