Very cool Marvin. The music scene before the Beatles is very well documented in records, now almost all transferred to digital, and in movies and books. I am a huge fan of jazz music that came out before I was born. If you remember the moon landing then at least a portion of Civil Right's movement should be a part of your memory too.

Our Top 9 is TNT, Skinner, Tuch, Cozens, JJP, Quinn, Mitts, Benson and Greenway. Greenway is the one to slide down to the 4th line, but still contribute a lot on PK and in checking line situations. That, and his rugged presence have a value that the other 8 do not bring. He could make our 4th line better. I would trade Greenway if he helps bring in a proven top 4 defender, I am talking about a veteran and a tough physical player - we will need to replace that aspect of his game. I could also include him in a package for a #1 goalie. Once we trade Greenway we have his role to fill once again. Fill one hole, make another - but you would think the Greenway hole is easier to fill if he is destined to be a 4th line guy. If the Greenway trade never happens I still look at adding a physical 2 way forward to the top 9, but the alternative is that one of our prospects develops. Östlund and Savoie should play in the AHL next season, they are not close to the NHL yet. Rosen or Kulich would have 2 years of AHL experience and a shot at the top 9, but I certainly would not give them anything. Kulich is bigger and more of a sniper between the two, he might be a good Skinner replacement down the road. I think that two of these four prospects should be included in trades to improve the NHL roster. Assuming Adams wants to get good at some point, he has his #1 pick and several top prospects to leverage into legit NHL help right now.

If Adams gets working then I see him on the 4th line next season. A good 4th line. I see him as a PK guy and a defensive specialist with ability to contribute offensively. If he plays on the 3rd line, that’s fine. Sure, if you can get a legit top 4 D with Greenway’s experience and his size and toughness. You have to replace all of that. Then go for it I guess.

I just don’t see it. If we trade Greenway we will have a hard time replacing him. A very hard time. His skill set is something we don’t have in the near term pipeline.

Depends on when, and being “above average” should not be the standard. He could wait 2-3 more and maybe they develop into a strong tandem. That doesn’t make it the right way or the best way. He already did it wrong IMO, by going with the 3 he already had,, not bringing in a true #1, and starting Levi in the NHL immediately. I doubt many, if any, of the other 31 GMs would have done this. It would get some of them fired

Peaking at the right time. All phases of the game made big plays today.

101.6. QB rating; 30 of 38; 359 yards, 2TDs, 2 Int, 1 fumble 67 yards running with countless runs for first downs, clutch passes, big plays. Our defense was great, special teams scored, but Allen was the will to win

There are even less from 12 to 18. (Thanks Terry) I was an Ike baby - 1958.

Yes, the goalie interference could have gone both ways. Pens had 4 power plays, including a gifted 5 on 3, they have nothing to complain about. The fact that the Sabres held their one goal lead through the second was very good. That was the period they actually dominated. We waited for a collapse, but never got one. Instead they showed resiliency. This team dug themselves a big whole. Now that they are healthy, they have a big challenge to get out of it and into the race.

What word would you use to describe the Buffalo Sabres this morning?

Grateful, tired, and ready to learn more defense. -
Sounds like you are 88 at least.
