  1. Bobby Orr was better than everyone else for a time. They couldn’t fix knees back then like now. I don’t see it.
  2. Another reason he should have been sent back to juniors at 8 games. Now we cannot add more veterans than we lose, as that could force him back to juniors.
  3. I like Stephenson but you’re giving a C to an outsider. Benson will beat out Robinson. He needs to be upgraded. Krebs needs to be upgraded.
  4. Yes. Which is why that line needs to change.
  5. Yup. Donny says they don’t handle pressure. But it’s coming someday.
  6. Ok That is one incident, but the Leaves Captain said it was not a planned snub and just something the players did when the ended a losing streak. Was he backtracking, of course, but its one game and it was not sanctioned and defended by their Coach. Our captain (or senior veteran player) spoke under anonymity, this practice continued for 2 months and on top of it our Coach brought up hurt feelings and contract extensions. Big difference. Replace KO - it past time simply based on his performance. Replace DG - it is now due based on his performance, plus there are some good coaching candidates out there. Bury the incident.
  7. I am happy that Dahlin was bothered by the chant. I am not happy with how the team decided to handled it. Actually I have never heard of any team reacting like this in the NHL. But even the Oakland Seals/California Golden Seals/Cleveland Barons were less futile than the Buffalo Pegula's. At least they got to die. I think it is detrimental to try to find out what each player thought on this issue, and then systematically get rid of everyone who agreed with snubbing the fans. Instead install new leadership and move on. I still believe he is the best player on the team and someone likes the cut of his jib. It is a good jib, come on PA lighten up a bit.
  8. If the lines are going to revisited then start with the first line and fix Skinner -TNT-Tuch. Then make the center spline stronger. Watching Thompson play it is evident that everything revolves around feeding him or him playing solo and using his size and reach to get a shot. DG used to say that the change to center gives Tage room, which it does. The problem is Tage plays and moves like winger, he is a finisher that needs to be fed. Quite often Tage is in the offensive zone puck handling, deeking, dangling, reaching and stretching, and we still end up with no shot and no pass. The other two tend to watch him when he does this, and passes rarely connect anymore. Its very often a one and done Tage effort and then the puck is out and quickly in our zone facing the liability of Skinner and Tage to defend. Somehow Tage is -13 and Skinner is -2. This needs to be fixed.
  9. So last year the team was strong at X and poor at Y and Z. This year strong at Y and poor at X and Z. Do they look like a playoff team? Not to me. They look like a team that is getting very good goaltending, has trouble scoring, winning most of the winnable games lately, and that plays poorly at home and good on the road. Lets se how they do at home against the Canes as they try once again to win 3 in a row for the first time this season. I suspect they will play well on the road games in Miami and in Tampa. Put up a 5 game winning streak and then lets talk about the improvements.
  10. Viscosity is used as a measure of motor oil thickness and flow
  11. Well a win on the road against the lowly Blue Jacks Clifton and Z get the goals. UPL carrying the load. Dahlin tons of minutes again. Bring on the Canes.
  12. UPLs numbers since new years are better than Binington’s when he stood on his head and won a cup. If this team could score goals they are in the race. UPL is looking good.
  13. So you like tuna, on toast, with lettuce and cheese?
  14. I have no idea what is happening. Dan told me: Puck comes out. He Throws it at round. Keeps it moving I guess I just listen until it ends, then I’ll know the score. He is your carp. Admit it.
  15. Good Evening Teammates, Punch checking very late. Turns out my new cable “promotion package upgrade” does not include NHLTV, like the old one did. Gonna fire that company soon enough. Im listening on Sirius XM. Which means I’m lost with Dan and Rob. We just scored, 2-1 Muscle Weight. Musket Wankers
  16. With all the softies on this team you pick Greenway as an example of being not tough? He is not a designated hockey fighter, never has been. I have seen him fight once, against Wilson. Greenway does not really know how to hockey fight, Wilson sure does. That fight was even enough for me, he answered a late hit on another player, which is what we need. Greenway is hockey tough (not fighting tough) and is a bear to play against. But not a true hockey fighter. He sure can intimidate a lot of people, he can and does get traffic in front, and he is willing to police things when he is out there. We need him. He is a capable defensive forward of which we desperately need. Yes, he is a very good penalty killer. He should be used more on the PP, for purpose of screening the goalie and tying up a defenseman while doing it - but Matty has not thought of that yet. He is on pace to surpass his career best 10 goals this season, and I think he is capable of a 20 goal season if playing on the right line.
  17. Great news Marvin. Since you have consulting skills keep that digital rolodex updated. If they decide they don't need you, you may prove to be very valuable to their suppliers and their customers down the road.
  18. Well the parts were less than $10 and she keeps me moving. I love to tinker and fix things anyway, and she does not expect me to do heavy lifting jobs anymore. So we both won.
  19. To the bolded. I have to agree that the millennials do get a bad rap. When they were first entering the work force, I was the director of electrical engineering for the site. One responsibility was staffing, including hiring and college recruiting. We started hiring the very first wave of millennials and our HR revamped how we would attract them and hopefully retain them. I loved the talent and energy they brought. They were a bit older than my own kids who fall into the middle and end of that generation. They were also smart enough to know what they wanted. The company took steps to give them opportunities faster than past practices, and did some smart things to retain them. When I was their age I mostly went along for the ride, kept my mouth shut, and took a lot of Sh** from the older generations because that was the way of the times ever since I was kid. I later found out that I have a more trouble relating to the gen Z group that followed them. A lot of people bash millennials today but they really are talking about Z's.
  20. I have a finished basement with a bathroom in it. My wife noticed a small puddle of water, near the toilet. I saw nothing leaking by the tank or anywhere. Then I flushed the toilet and saw a spurt of water shoot out from from that one side and started a puddle. Hmmm, repeat - it did it again, puddle bigger. First, I tightened the tank bolts, one quarter turn - you don't want to crack the tank or toilet. This did not not fix it. I thought maybe that the rubber washer/gaskets on one of the two tank bolts was leaking by the force of the water draining in the tank, but not leaking otherwise. Didn't seem likely - so maybe the tank was just not seated properly on the toilet and became skewed after so many years? I shut off the water line, drained the tank, and removed it. I decide to buy new rubber parts since they looked old and compressed. About 20 minutes to diagnose and take it apart, about 40 minutes to go to Home Depot for parts, about 20 minutes to replace the rubber parts, put it back together and refill. Maybe 10 minutes to test and clean up. My wife did not pay me $316 dollars, or anything for that matter. She did give me a list of more things to fix.
