Good evening Teammates, Punch checking in. Let’s keep it going and beat Vegas. ESPN game. I like not hearing Dan, I like hearing outside comments on the team, I don’t have to hear Ray say “Vahgis” !! MUSCLE WEIGHT

I got the game tying goal late in the 3rd. He drew the penalty that led to the game winning goal. That was just in the last 5 minutes.

Elias Pettersson agrees to an 8 year Extension with the Canucks

I probably would not either based on Dahlin's age and yet to be fulfilled promise. Our defense without Dahlin would be absolutely terrible. But don't underestimate Draisaitl's talent. He is a Hall of Fame player. Buffalo almost picked him over Reinhart, and so far he is the better of the two. -

I might not trade Dahlin for Draisaitl, but I cannot agree with the lesser talent comment? Perhaps you don't watch the Western Division? Draisaitl is 28 and in his prime, he is 6'2" and 210 lbs. He has three 50 goal seasons. He has four 100 point seasons, last year he had 128 points. He averages 0.48 goals per game, and 1.18 points per game. He almost never misses a game. At this rate he has automatic HoF numbers by the time he reaches 30-31 year old. He has 31 goals and 77 points in his 49 playoff games. The guy shows up. He has won an Art Ross Trophy (scoring leader), a Hart Trophy (MVP of League), and a Ted Lindsey Trophy (Outstanding Player voted by the players association). Dahlin has yet to reach these lofty levels. -
You make a lot of good points and you are a very good poster here, but you have an agenda as well. You insist in several threads that only Tage and Cozens are playing below last seasons levels. You can find some data that attempts to support that, but I say the damage on this season was done long ago (before Jan 1), and when it happened, about 10 other players were also on that list of underperformers. The team is waking up, and now playing more like they should have been playing in November. The biggest reason for it is UPL, who is keeping them in games. Some players will end up with reasonable stats because of a decent (so far) end of season finish. But that wont change the fact that Kevyn Adams failed to adequately upgrade key positions, training camp and preseason were poorly executed by Granato and his staff, and the top players on this team came to the party unprepared. If that is a negative agenda from me, so be it. I believe it accurately describes what will likely go down as a very disappointing season. So much so that it included public tension between the players and the fan base. They need to play what, 0.770 to 0.800 hockey to get in the playoff conversation, something like that? I hope they make it, and I will watch to the end, but I won't be betting on it. Next time Adams and Granato tell us this team is ready to compete they better put in the work in first. The drive to sell season tickets continues. Hey, at least the scoreboard will be updated and the roof fixed (maybe).

Ok, enough of this guy. I know he is skilled and all, but this was a pipedream to land him. I prefer KA look for some rugged players, in their prime years, to round out the roster. -
I see ESPN+ as a streaming option, which is good for me if true. What network is covering it? BTW, we can beat these guys. I expect to see them play inspired home ice hockey.

Can the GM make 2 or 3 intelligent moves that are impactful enough? -
They are not shocking results to me. We had a lot of career seasons last year. The team got younger. They did not plan to adequately cover Quinn. The started the year with 3 goalies, which meant no goalie. They didn’t prepare to come out and win and they surprised no one. And yes, a few other nagging injuries that every team deals with.

You are expecting action? It was just released that Tanev turned down a trade to Buffalo? It will be an interesting off season, fans are expecting some line up changes. -

15 players - a few will be good players, many will not. 7 small 3 big 1 strong, 1 solid, and 1 steady. When will we trade some of this "wealth" for players that get help us win now? -
This is your take? UPL stands on his head once again. His puck handling has improved a lot, and yes, it still needs some work. Greenway is not a first line player, that is obvious, but he helped the first line to wake up last night. They were better last night than they have been. Skinner is killing that line, I don’t care how much benefit and how many goals Skinner gets from the work the other two put in.

Meh. It’s the NHL. Bad officiating. The teams that commit the most penalties get the most leeway.
