I just read the recent interview with Adams in The Athletic. He mention UFAs not wanting to join teams that are not in the playoffs. He mention trades not getting closed because the players not wanting to go to a non playoff team. He has an uneven playing field and is limited. He also spoke of DG. He will be back.

I used to have NHLHD but I upgraded our cable package on a one year promo for less money, but this channel not included. I am listing to Dan and Rob on internet radio. Which means I have idea what’s really happening. Sounds like Luuuke is keeping us in.

Did you notice last night that not one conversation on playoffs had the Sabres in the race. The ESPN crew talked about who they could deal at the deadline, nothing about them making a run.

I start with Adams - he could have brought in a forward when Quinn went down. Bringing in Robinson from Columbus's AHL team was all he did. Then Granato, he ran a country club with an extended tryout and they created in a big hole. And then the players, there was no fire, no determination to string wins, the best players were nit ready for the challenge. Leadership in the room was poor during “fire Donny” fiasco. Seems like they have grown lately. You see a more determined group. UPL is the big success story.

Their goalie sucked

The goaltending was inconsistent and so were all the other facets of the game. Scoring still is. They just were not mentally ready to play at this level. I didn’t like the preseason. They had tryouts for too long into the regular season.
