The TNT broadcast is celebrating the Penguins. They had a great run in the past. We get it. Not much said about the Sabres play or their lineup changes.

The contract is a problem but I still think he will be a good player. I think he will bloom later in his career if he adds muscle and strength. On top of that he needs to play smarter.

He threw a big hit on Verhaghe and no one on Florida said boo. Most Sabres last season would have been confronted for that. He is a defense first guy that has some ok hands and offensive skills. Ruff can maximize his ability. His only knock is he goes quiet for extended periods of time, that has to change. That is the one concern on extending him in my opinion.

Rapp played a great game and up a touchdown and a first down throw in the 4th Q. He is ok, not great. Hamlin is below average in all facets of the game. Hyde and Poyer are missed, especially the younger versions of them.

I hated the fact that he rushed 2. That gave them time to run 50 yards down field and into the end zone, and then Roger’s found his 6’5” target in front of several Bills DBs. McD is just not gonna learn I guess. Bass was good at one time, but he cannot handle pressure. Add kicker to the list of needs. . The better team prevails but the Bills have holes.

Great win given the circumstances- division game, MNF, end loss streak, 3rd straight road game, Jets rallying around new coach, etc. Ugly officiating from start to finish. Both teams were hurt by it. Sure is. But if I’m Lindy I’m not too happy with Captain Dahlin’s low hit, then he popped him when he got up, the he threw a few big haymakers. There was tension between them from an earlier hit I would tell Dahlin to save it for the games. But for now, it’s a sign of life.

The Jets will be fired up at home, a new coach, and they are playing for first place in the AFCE. The Bills need to have a good start. The offense has to get back to what was working early in the season. Josh has to get the ball on target because the Jet corners are very capable in man to man. They will play man coverage and use a safety to follow (spy) Allen, just like the Ravens and Texans did. Our WRs do not scare anybody so it comes down to good play- calling and careful execution. If we can build a decent lead the Jets will crumble.

My how things change. Greenway was the guy most of you here wanted to trade when Adams was rebuilding the bottom 6. It pays to have 14 NHL forwards on the roster. Injuries happen all the time.

They may have traded the wrong goalie, it’s too early to tell as both are still very young and just starting out. Florida got Reinhart, 60+ goals and the GWG in Cup finals game 7. I think they are good with the trade right now.
