There is only one Skinner. Lindy will tolerate very little.
-
His contract is not available. Yes, he stands behind the bench during games. He works directly for Laviolette, the HC. He coaches forwards. He wears nice suits too.
-
Maybe he can get us into and competitive in the playoffs, PLUS put his bright young successor on his staff to finish the job if/when he gets stale. Then he can go up to an executive level job after that and simply make sure no more stupid stuff happens ever again.

Gallant has been .600+ 4 times in his past 7 years as head coach, 7 straight playoff years. I just want to know that Adam’s reached out to him and a few others and had serious talks with them. I like Ruff, always have, I hope he gets us there again.
-
Could be that Gallant/Berube and others did not want it, or didn’t want to talk, or they like Lindy better based on interviews. I hope it’s the later.
-
There may be a place that he fits. He was a 7th rounder that could score some goals. He had 20 three times, one in only 56 games. Not a two way player but this year he tightened up his game to match the “defensively responsible “ system that Granato said he put in, that Adams emphatically said “never changed”.

Ruff it is. Not surprising. -

The Sabres need an experienced coach for many reasons. They also need the results McD got. All your caveats on McDermotts accomplishments are immaterial. -

Gallant is known as a hard ass and as a players coach. -
On further review, it's 3. And there were 4 penalties committed to Benson that were not called, they were called on him.
-
Agree. And I like white jerseys better anyway.

Still too early to make that determination. -
Most of them were fabricated crap calls. Maybe 2 were legit.

It was so “thin” he made the playoffs the first year, while starting a rebuild, and with Tyrod Taylor at QB. You could easily put a positive spin on his work. He ended a 17 year drought and helped turn Buffalo into a perennial contender and a place where players want to play. -

Yes. If Adams was going to tell them anything, it should have been that they were partly responsible and they need to learn from this and get more serious about practice and pre game preparation. -
just watched the Avs - Peg highlights. Well executed white out, but they wore road team colors. Mitts with a dirty goal. I honestly cannot see our team not being embarrassed in a game like this one. These games are at a level our boys have not seen yet, even our veteran players.

So you’re the reason @Taro Tis gone ?

I wonder if he talked to Adams and decided to not be interviewed. I am ready to move on from #28. -

I sure hope not. Bring in a McDermott kind of Coach/Leader. I know McD is not a perfect coach, and I don't need a litany of responses on his game day errors, but he did fix a bad culture and a bad perception throughout the league. That is not an easy task as we are PAINFULLY aware. -

Clearly the group lacks maturity and does not get the right leadership. We can only hope a few of them actually know better and will take over. On the fans booing and calling for DG to be fired - they should have been told to simmer down and do better. Fans pay the bills. Coaches get fired. Life is not fair either. On DG's firing - the only help Adams should have provided was for to tell them to take responsibility for their part in the firing, otherwise say little or nothing. The stuff about harder practices and needing to be pushed all sounds like whinny excuses, even if they are true. I blame Adams for their robotic and scripted comments. -

Not to single out Samuelsson but his quote, like many of the the others, is a big part of Adams talking points. Why didn't Adams step in? He is learning his job on the fly too. Practice harder? That is on the coaches first and foremost, but this is why you need those guys that never want to leave the ice after practice. Need a few that call out the one that are not getting it. Until the right leadership emerges within the players, the coach has to do more to instill leadership.
