ok now they're making briere sound like he's dirtier than mcsorley and bertuzzi combined! "briere, in typical fashion, runs the goalie" "don't get me wrong, briere is a great talent" um, @$$holes, your team sucks, now stop picking on ours, who ownes your candya$$es!
-
well, briere did chop the guy's helmet off. I didn't see the push, but if you saw it then it probably happened. They only showed the head chop replay, not the damning one for the MIGHTS boston bruins!
-
yes
-
3-2 buffalo, and it appears that the sabres have regained their confidence, and the bruins have lost all of theirs. juju, this broadcast team has gone way beyond the "thank god we have RJ and JL" and its entering the "Pat Summeral in Madden" quality. All in all, its the same either way. Sabres are now kicking butt, no matter who's in the press box.
-
ok, since we;re all getting off on the bruins, like the tv guys, what's with thomas' helmet? First of all, the chin piece is chopped off and a refabricated bar is in its place. Then there's the paintjob. A yellow road sign with a bear in the middle and the slogan "beware of bear". Come on thomas... if you're going to be taken seriously, its time to upgrade the paintjob. and on second thought,. i'll take more cam neely. he'll always remind me of one of my favorite movies. by the way, the department store not named jc penney's just scored.
-
I'm sick of the bruins period. At least its 2-2 now and these announcerrs now have to pull their manchild fantasy comments out of nowhere
-
but they're the mighty boston bruins. With a little bit of grit, some large bahston bahlls, and a whole lot of instestinal fortitude, they'll win the presidents trophy. and my lord,. if i have to see seabass driving a jeep commander and making witty comments, i'm going to scream! I'll gladly take brown & chiari, william mattar, and walden dodge any day of the week!
-
i think the rule is that there has to be conclusive evidence. and by the way, WE NEED A COACH LIKE THE BRUINS HAVE!! The "ice shavings" segment where sullivan was micked.... my god. a new standard for unintentional comedy! crap. 2-1 bruins
-
eh, it was close.. looked like a save to me though. I hate to harp on the announcers again, cause its a moot point, but they called out dumont for taking a dive on that last penalty. I understand being a homer, but being an idiot is a different story.

welcome back... how bout this for back to back. saturday april 1, at toronto. monday april 3, at toronto. brutal
-
now we can see a well rested team bi+chslap the chowderheads. that 3rd game in 4 nights on saturday was just to butter them up
-
I think that noronen will be the odd goalie out, sent away for draft picks. Regier will not pull the trigger on a biron deal, unless a desperate team tries to over pay. Tonight's game convinced me that biron is needed as an insurance policy for the playoff run. If biron is traded, look for a huge return on the guy. Regier WILL NOT get rid of biron simply because he can get rid of biron.

if you're watching the nesn channel, tanabe gets the 1st star, raycroft gets the 2nd for not letting in 4 goals, and wayne primeau gets the 3rd for moving from a terrible sabres team to the greatest team in all the land, the boston bruins. YAY FAT GUY JUMPING ON MATRESS! If i had one complaint on centre ice, its the crapshoot on the local broadcast feeds. there should be a subscriber voting section in the website to decide which feed to show. RJ would be on for 75 games! With that said, biron really bailed out the sabres tonight. They were obviously tired, and the two early goals were due to the sabres sleepwalking. Hecht's goal on the increadible pass by briere got them rolling again. Speaking of briere, he's definitely making up for lost time. 1 goal and 2 assists tonight, along with his point(s) last night, and we have ourselves a clutch playmaker that reminds me a lot of lafontaine. I wish that maxim afinogenov would learn to play team hockey every now and then. His fancy little moves gets him the goals every now and then, but more often than not, it leads to a busted play or a turnover. He's been playing for like 5 years now... time to step up or ship out. Regier proved that he doesn't like the selfish, streaky player when he dumped satan this summer. Another note... I have never seen a team play such a bend-but-don't-break style of defense and rely on blocking shots... Sure, the 90's sabres had no defense, relying on a certain halfway decent yet quirky goalie... I still have visions of subbing out doug bodger for grant ledyard in nhl 94 just because ledyard had 53 speed compared to bodger's 49. I'm fully confident that between miller/biron, plus the defense laying down the body, that the sabres will do well. Get some rest. tuesday is coming sooner than later and boston will probably be pissed.
-
emphasis of a penalty? holy crap, they've opened the "intentional vs. unintentional" pandora's box.. say goodbye to our cup chances vs [insert large market team here]
-
maybe trading biron is a bad idea... he's a pretty good insurance policy at the moment. trade noronen for draft picks and ride the talent we have now. kalinin will be back soon to ease the defensive pressure and relieve fitzpatrick of his duties...
-
that tanabe guy's face is really messed up. i bet he broke a bone in his face.
-
well, msg is just a stopgap to hold t hings over for golisano's sabres network [/dream] dumont scores! 3-2 sabres this is it... i'm getting my hernia fixed on monday and turning into a bad ass pimp like briere has. 3 points tonight! dumont scores! 3-2 sabres this is it... i'm getting my hernia fixed on monday and turning into a bad ass pimp like briere has. 3 points tonight! edit: oops
-
and briere scores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good thing i was watching... these announcers put viewers in a trance when "away team" has the puck
-
yeah, gaustad, afinogenov, hecht, biron, pyatt, gahbage, and cah have all been mispronounced tonight... although, on a positive note, i was reminded that flutie magic lives during the first commercial break.
-
sabre, i was actually pleasantly suprised with the TSN guys last night. they had been much worse in the past, but they were tolerable last night... i guess it was cause their national disgrace got bi+chslapped. things might have been different if the laffs were actually beating us
-
scoooooooooooooores! hecht scores on a briere pass to the front... lucky goal, but it may be enough to wake this team the f--- up.
-
i was thinking the exact same thing and for god's sake, it's Biron, not BEEron
-
rene rancourt looks very familiar... how so? He's no doug allen by the way... ugh. i hate nesn... crappy camerawork, bad picture on my tv... stupid boston accents... at least there's no glowing puck or cartoonish hockey player robots.
-
You have to play miller on the road tonight. This is a tough divisional road game, coming off of an emotional victory against the laffs. IF this game doesn't put hair on your chest, you are a girl, ryan miller. Miller needs to be prepped for the playoffs, and this game is a good benchmark. I am in agreement with you about biron getting some quality time though. If they're going to showcase him, play marty on tuesday and/or thursday against the bruins or lightning, respectively, at home. Thataway miller will be ready to go against philly in the matinee next weekend (which hopefully will be on nbc... let me check the listings now!)
-
well, lets see what they can do on the first of many back to back games before the playoffs start
